NOOBs where to draw the line
|
In last night's game I booted a 1st Lieutenant from the room since I mentioned in the game topic "NOOBs only or be Booted". I asked him to leave and he pleaded with me that his is a noob. Okay seriously, where do we draw the line here. For me I think Corporals should be the cut off. in one game I made the mistake of allowing an officer in a FFA. He went through us like knife on butter.

Re: NOOBs where to draw the line
I host 2v2 noob games every day and I cross the line at high master sergeants. The worst I got was a private with a 100% win percentage which I thought was odd, so I check his home cities and he was a captain in treaty! I boot him out and tell his friend why and he says "yeah, but he's a noob like me at rush". ![[:^)]](http://forum.agecommunity.com/emoticons/emotion-18.gif)

Just title your games 'master sergeants or lower' then.

Heh, in an undercover private account, I can kill corporals. In unrated only, of course

It depends on the rank. A Lance Corporal going against a conscript could be considered noob bashing.
But, a 1st Lieutenant going against a Corporal or Sergeant would be considered noob bashing as well.

Yes, please.

Just check their win percentage %, if it's higher than 60 you should check on
http://www.elorating.com/portal/
It's really useful. Check ur own score and decide who you would like to play with. For instance I'm a 1st LT. but my ELOrating went up from 1600 to 1700 and down, so anyone with 1500 would be unfair. I also boot anyone higher than 1800.

Re: NOOBs where to draw the line
well i'm a lvl 20 currently but when i was a lvl 19 i beat a lvl 27 due to the fact that my strat was the best counter for the lvl 27's strat. as long as a player has the basics down anyone can beat anyone. just have to have the right strat or luck.

Dude, you're a stat whore. Grow up and just play the game. I play people within about p5 or myself. It's a game, lighten up and learn to have some fun.
P.S. I love this: http://undefeat.com/EsoTools/NoobBashers.aspx
only problem is that the highest ranked players are on here. People like nightscr3am, who are more than 7 pr above everyone else, can't play a game without being classified as bashing.
Edit: I saw another alternate ladder. It shows people who have won in under 5 minutes. In treaty, I think it just shows point traders ^^ (you can't win a treaty game in under 5 minutes unless someone resigns).
Everybody is entitled to their opinion. Some of them are just stupid.

Playing against better players is the only way to learn how to become better in this game.
