I played a game with my british against this xbow rush and i horribly lost. Does somebody here know some good strat against this rush?

There not much you can do.. i play british as well. there no defense against that. or at least i think

of course there is a way to stop it as British.  It might be a bit harder. 

Try making some watch towers.  I would recommend going cav then.  Cav will slaughter xbows course pike will get your cav so might want to make some muskets with it.  Brits CAN go cav i'v seen the higher ranked players do it and some people around my rank do it 2.  Just experiment its all possible.

Agreed, you can go cav against germans, or, you could try to mass musks like crazy. That may not work nearly as well in the new patch, but for now you can mass musks and send the 2 attack cards fairly early. If you get enough musks you can counter just about anything he can throw at you in colonial.

lol. look at that. we already found the problem. its 1v1. play team games with british, that were they truly shine. But if you prefer 1v1, i say u just mass muskets no matter what. Then gain map control. then finish your boom(all 20 manors) and if you boom successfully you should have around 50 vills by 9 min or less..

Well with the bew patch, hussars will now be very effective against xbows, so u mgith wanna make a hussar strat with birts.

if he is goin Xbow u go Longbow. simple as that. i play brits a lot as well and lbs (with hit and run) can destroy the Xbows. u wont have many at first until u boom but once u do ur unstoppable. if u want u can tie him up with 5 hussar so ur lbs can pick off soem of the Xbow (he'll target cav and as he does so ur cav kill off some Xbow and ur lbs kill the rest and wen ur cav r ded just run unless ur winning)

No you cannot hit and run with xbows, but they only have to stand still for 1.5 seconds. Longbows can kill xbows en masse, 10 longbows > 15 xbows, as a matter of fact, xbow rush from any civ works least well against the brits.

Essentially, once you reach colonial never, ever stop training units. You can beat almost anyone this way, and xbows just get pwned. 

dont mass muskets - xbows are designed to kill HI so massing muskets is suicide - mass LBs and make as many cavalry as you can - try to keep making more villies as well and stick em mostly on food but if yor other two are beginning to run low transfer some to that
