    Subject: Ceylon Outpost Spamming
I just played someone on Ceylon, and they stayed on their rock the whole time, having 13 Fortified Outposts and Docks covering the coastline so i couldnt land anywhere. he also happened to have all naval cards, and eventually won coz i couldnt get to his island at all. Surely this is laming? I was winning easily by eco, I made sure that he never moved off his island but somehow he had enough wood to keep rebuilding them, presumably he had factories. Surely this is laming?

    Why not use Monitors?

You may be able to prolong your life, but it's not like you can escape your inevitable death, is it?

I did, they do nothing against Docks... remember that in the Proto they have x0.1 vs docks... even without the outposts, he still had cannons.

Yeh, monitors backed up by frigates = chip away until nothing left. You would've won if you held the main ground and prevented any wood.

    Kill a man, you're a murderer.
Kill many men, you're a hero.
Kill thousands of men, you're a conquerer.

    Here's a good battle plan:

Send a decoy ship (Frigate). You're opponent might be thinking your army is in that ship so he will kill it. Once that decoy is near the island, it will be fired upon. Send another ship (Frigate/Caravel) with your army in it, behind the decoy, so the ship won't get attack and your army would land with no problems.

    Mr. Ace:

    Here's a good battle plan:

Send a decoy ship (Frigate). You're opponent might be thinking your army is in that ship so he will kill it. Once that decoy is near the island, it will be fired upon. Send another ship (Frigate/Caravel) with your army in it, behind the decoy, so the ship won't get attack and your army would land with no problems.

And by the way, make sure to put one man in every decoy; if you don't, he'll know there's no men inside.

    Yes, please.

    I *think* it's a monkey wearing lederhosen.

Good plan, but you have to load up the decoy ship with 1 unit (explorer, villager, or pikeman) as the opponent sees the flag showing the ship is carrying unit(s) and then he will fire on it.

Ya, don't forget to put atleast 1 unit in the decoy. Thanks for correcting me guys.
