does it worth picking russians with their stupid strelets and their musketeers that are more vulnerable than normal musketeers?

although they can easily take lots of units they are weak...opinions and strategies?

I hate russian civ, they are weak in sup, and lame in treaty

Russia has a killer rush, since they can have huge masses of units in no time flat. The russians are actually quite effective, and in late game with standing army, team dueling school, and fencing school, they can build instant infantry, which is also a huge advantage. Their weak units is made up for by the fact that they are cheaper, and they can build rax before actually hitting colonial, and it gives them good map control. If you are good at russia, they are quite hard to beat.

8 minutes ago you said that russia was weak in sup...

but instant military takes out ur eco fast. so dont click too much when u do so. i did it the hard way and luckily my partner fed me resources every once in a wile

don't build too much military because it drains your resources...

A good player should always try to keep his resources as close as possible to 0, because they are being put to use, and if you save up for no purpose, then you will die.

i'm sick of people saying russian units are weak.

did anyone EVER look at the *** cost?

seriously, stop the bashing of russian musks, there are even players PR35+ who still think russian musks suck. re-tar-ded.

sure they suck in the same numbers as another civ's musk, but look at the cost:
normal musk 75f-25g, russian musk 56f - 19g

also strelets cost 37,5food and 10 wood..

their units are FINE. cost-effectively.

You know russia is perfect for a large scale rush. I mean I can get about 120 men in 12min with russia. However if my rush failes I don't have much eco to back it up so I most likey lost if the rush failes. I normaly get 20villgers in the first age, thats all the villgers i get for the entire game. Then I ship the two infantry trains faster cards. And for the rest of the game I just ship food, wood, and coin.

worried about wood? try a native civ with no factorys and every unit needing wood

and about strelets... I rather have some stronger units which cost me more...  so less of my units get killed, and I have to build less barraxes (blockhouses) to  keep providing units to the battle 

I think a smaller force with way more total hitpoints  and attack is more effective...  for me, Russia needs to rely too much on fast training

Russians are weak, especially against the Ottomans. Early in a game, Abus Guns can thrash them and later, the Great Bombards can finish it off in style.

if you learn how to play then you will find out that russia is good. watch milo's vod for russia and you will learn how good they are. you can also watch his pack of rec games for that strat.
