    My favorite is either Mayans or Mongols both for their fast rushes and good economy.

    My worst would be Goths even though they have a strong man-at-arms rush I hate their defense.

    I used to love the Byzentines (sp?). I liked them because they were great all-around.

    Spanish are by far the best civilization in AOE 2. They have a good economy, stongest villagers, best navy, decent seige weapons, good cavalry, greatt infantry, good ranged units, great monks  and excellent defences. What more could you want?

    Mongols, Huns, Saracens, and Spanish all top my list as favorites.

    I never cared for the Franks, Goths, or Koreans.

    I liked the Byzantines, and disliked the mongols, persians, saracens and ottomans.

    Favourites:

    Saraceans because they are a pretty average civ with no real downsides.

    Chinese for good economy and tribute support online with friends. 

    Britons for the good economy and excellent longbow men.

    Vikings for good navy/transport in ocean maps and pretty good infantry.

    Persians for the heavy siege and elephants as well as the very cheap castle age upgrade.

    Those are what I play them for anyways, and its easy enough for me to build stable economy's on each civ very early in game.

    Dislike: Goths for their weak defence.
