This will do some good if posted here also!
reyk:There is a way to bring the others ages into the editor.
First You must install the New Aoe3Editor 2.
Then create a trigger like this from kjn (see above) and start a testgame.
Save the test game and push the exit button.
You will see a new gadget (this one is in German):

and push "Save" (in German =Speichern)
Then You get back to the editor and open the savegame. Now are all the buildings from another age into.

For those of you who frequently browse this thread..
I brought up the Cso Tips And Tricks thread..By MosheLevi..From the back pages of this category..Recently I've noticed a few new posts poping up, asking questions about CSO scenarios..Due to the different approaches To this kind of scenario..It would be best to post your Cso questions in that thread..Moshe is your guy..I've also included links, in that thread to H.G. forums and his huge thread over there..These are the best places to ask your cso questions..You'll get the answers that you seek.
Regards!

Re: 9 of the most commonly asked questions concerning designing maps are answered here
After downloading and looking into the long awaited reyks new update for his editor..I've noticed a couple of small oversites..
1 = Missing some waterbodies from the data 2..
All you have to do is just leave in or add our waterbodies .xml in the data folder..You will then have access to all waterbodies in your editor.
2 = The player per resource in the ui..(Not war chief's ui)..Also a possible problem with the timer display for the trade monopoly tech..(Haven't tested this yet)
During the long hard task of making our patch..Albino and I made a new uimainnew.xml.xmb and an uimainnew.xml..This solved the above mentioned problems but caused a warchiefs only situation..We could not use the files because a lot of guys still wanted to play both versions of the game..Having these files in your data folder..Caused all the problems in reverse in the vanilla version..( Missing items, wrong ui displays)..So we did not continue to offer these files with our patch..We still have them..I'm still using them..It was a trade off..As it turned out.. It didn't hurt the success with our little patch..
All in all.. I found reyks update very good..He was able to add a lot of items to his editor that we did not..(With our patch)..It was an honor to pitch in and help continue the popularity of the New Editor2..After all..It is his editor..It's a very powerfull and valuable tool..A must have for scenario design..I for one ..Am very happy that he's back and making the much needed improvements..
He was missed.
Best regards!

xXMicahXx ,
You place a fixed gun base down first, on the map..Then you place a fixed gun near it..Then you select "position objects" under the objects tab at the top of the editor..You then select the fixed gun and position it over the fixed gun base..Make sure you're placing and positioning as player you're playing as..Usually Player1..
There are two pinned scenario design threads in this category..Thanks for replying in one of them..(That is the usual protocall we try to observe in here)..For future questions..Feel free to look through them first, to see if they're answered already, before posting your question..In some cases..they've been answered before..If they're not answered..Please feel free to post your questions..We''ll do our best to help.
Regards
