No I have never really spent time there..AOM never held any appeal to me..Sorry..If you state it works.. It may have over there..You already must have seen the problem with people not wanting to spend time scrolling through and reading  already posted questions and answers..We already get an abundance of repetitious posts..It's just going to create all the more in here..I guess we'll have to let it up to all..If they agree with your ideas then that's what it should be?

Also..Keep in mind that this thread is huge..It already died once a while back..E.S. kindly did something to activate it..The tips and tricks thread is young and so is the nine most asked thread..They might be the better places to conduct your ideas?

well considering AOMH only has a title search function, it would be hard to find an answer. lets face it if people are going to ask obvious quesions like, How to we get the AI to work, they wouldn't have read through the stickys (just the title post, not the whole thread) but would have just made a new thread. most poeple who post in this question thread have read the 'tips and tricks' thread and '9 most common one' so will be pretty well informed. i also think a lot of the questions to do with CSO and single player sceanarios are pretty similar, only require copying for multiplayer. we don't want to discourange designers that only make single player scenarios to not post answers to questions jsut because they do not browse the 'tips and tricks' thread.

the other sticy threads are good for refence, but keep the questions here.

oh and BTW in AOMH, i didn't like the game either, its just thier forum is so active you can post a question and get a few relies within an hour, even with many diferent questions posted that might overshdow yours. they go through a 1500 post question thread in a month or so then start a new one.

    That's surely a different approach!.

I think if there are so many different topics squeezed into one thread,  it's only going to make things all the harder to find or get an answer..This is what will surely discourage a lot of future designers as well as most established ones..Think about this..What would we have to refer them to?.The wiki is not always the answer..Total chaos isn't going to help them either.

Lets face it..The majority don't want to read through long drawn out threads anymore..The newer breed wants it fast and as easy as possible..Just look hard at the first page of the category..Is it not what you're promoting for in here?.I think your idea will only compound the difficulties that we already face in here..The category page is the result of what we're going to have if we'd do it here..

..I guess this thread and the entire category will be as all will want it to be..If your wish is what the rest would rather have..Then that will most likely become the new observed protocall..Until then..I see no reason to alter what has worked.. I'm going to adhere to the protocall that has been observed for the most part, all along in here..I feel it best to leave AOM in AOM for the present..I'm sure the future will present itself.. In it's own good time, as to which way it will go.

    Regards

No need to argue guys. Reason?

This community is less then 10% of the AOM scenario and RM design community. The fans answering this questions is reduced to 3 maybe 4 fans. Conclusion !

Doesn't really matter who and where is asking, we have to provide an adequate answer to this people. Thanks for your cooperation.

i was just adding AOM as an example of how active there community is in comparison to hows ares is not, if they can hanlde it with a super active forum, then we can surely handle it here, in one thread.

anyway i am pretty pissed off as bruce failed to adress scenarios at all in his latest blog, he talked about spliting patchse into balance and techincal, well surely if there are no technical issues as he said, the team should be working on the editor?

    Regards my friend!
