If your brother was the person who set up the router then yes, he will be the one to help you with that.

Edit: there is no applications and gaming section only a port forwarding section and i have to set it for age of empires, but it wont let me set more then 1 port for the 1 service as they call it. i did find out that the username and password were still default ones so i got into it, im lookin for the section u stated

Re: New Solutions for the “Failed to Join Game” error
Hey i have the failed to join problem too. i can only join about 1/4 of the people on the game. they are the same people every time.
What i found was wierd is i play with this couple that live together and i can only play with one of them and not the other.
Does any one else have this problem?
Also i have sattilitte internte if that means any thing.
If you have sattilitte internet is there any thing i can do to not make my ping red
I dont lag at all and my ping is bright red.
But to me every ones else ping is red and i have a green one.

Re: Another (Failed to Join Game)
asiel_black:how can i forward my ports my PC IP is 192.168.2.101
Just specify this IP address in the Port Forwarding section for AoE3III application (see section above).
ok after adding AOE3III to port Triggering, and had trigger port set to 2400 and range set 2400-2500 with any ip address it seems to be working..
Great news.
I wonder why 2400-2500, it should be 2300-2400. Change it to 2300-2500 and see if it still works.

Re: New Solutions for the “Failed to Join Game” error
Open you internet explorer and type 192.168.1.1 (or whatever is your Router’s IP address).
Go to “Applications & Gaming” and open the “Port Range Forward” screen.
Under application type: AoE3III
Port Range Start: 2300
Port Range End: 2400
Protocol: Both
IP Address: 192.168.1.101 (according to your actual IP address)
Enabled: Check
Since the IP address can change every time you boot your PC or Modem/Router I have set AOE3’s port forwarding to two IP addresses.
So if you cannot connect to games any more then check you current IP address and adjust the Port Forwarding settings to point to the right IP address.
