Do they aim at the legs or the arms or something? Surely a bullet (let alone a cannonball, as others have been pointing out) would kill in one hit from trained military personel...
...Then again, they do only get about 20 seconds of training or something. Imagine having to have a whole training session in 20 seconds.
OK try haveiung a unit train for 2 years OR you could have it for 20 secs....your choice

Actually, none of the natives use guns... 
They use Spears 
Europeans use gunz
India uses guns 
China uses gunz
Japanese get ashigaru, cherokee use guns, very few natives use spears, euros can use x-bow and lbow, india only uses guns, china gets chu ko nu's, so I am going to say that supacrunk is the most reliable source here

shogun tokugawa can slay a cannon, 2 horses, and the person firing a cannon with 1 swipe of his sword in the imperial age (horse artillery)

No, No, ppl, I meant the Japanese VILLAGERS dont use a gun to attack like the other peeps. Now i see natives dont either, but natives have a reason why not to use it. For Japan, theres no excuse...
And btw the Matrix Train was pretty funny...
