Great scenarios take time to create!

    That's just how it is.

I added “How to set Dynamic Players (that works for both Human player or AI)”.

These instructions will help you to set your multiplayer scenario to work with either human player or computer player for each one of the available player slots.

I also added instructions for “Deploying Armies for Computer Players and Moving them”.

This information is needed because the “Army Deploy” effect doesn’t work for computer players (for CSO).

There is a lot of information to read in this thread but you really need to know all of it if you want to design Multiplayer Scenarios.

It may take you 20 minutes or so to read and understand it all but knowing this information will save you many hours of frustration.

    Hi kjn,

I will keep posting new information if I discover something new.

However, I haven’t worked much on new scenario lately so it may be awhile before I post something new.

    Best regards my friend,

I forgot to add one more thing.

I added instructions on “Setting the AI Difficulty Level” for active AI for CSO.

Unfortunately the AI difficulty setting on ESO doesn’t work for CSO.

The “Set Difficulty” effect doesn’t work either for Multiplayer Scenarios.

However, the difficulty for the AI for Multiplayer Scenarios can be set by opening the Scenario Editor and setting the difficulty level there.

For more information read the new section that I added to the main post.

    Thanks Moshe!

I hope guys start to look in here and post their on-line scenario questions, instead of making new repetitive posts in the category..It only makes it harder to help..When they don't.

    Best regards my friend!

It would help to avoid so many repetitive threads in this category.

It would also help all who are trying to help out in it.

    Hey guys,

    Nice tutorial Moshe, congrats man.

As always i can use a little help, maybe you guys can open my mind ... lol. The problem is: AI (comp player). I don't want to use a comp player TC in my scenario, but i do want to use the AI settings in order to be attacked by comp player. Also no villies and crated will be provided.

Everything worked fine in the beggining until i have the second enemies wave coming. This is mixing the attack and comp player is heading south of the map. Why? I can't tell, because i have nothing there (not even a building or something).

First i have used the Army Attack Plan, but this seems to be auto looped trigger and the army i've created keep coming (trigger was no looped). I have also used the hidden comp player (same color, etc.), but this didn't changed a thing. So i have two choices: 1. I wait for a solution, and 2. I quit this project.

    Little help is appreciated. Thanks.

    Hello Xamo..

If I understand your question correctly?

Make a dummy civ .. Set it to computer and set it as hidden, In the player data panel.

Use Age3ai..Not ailoaderstandard.xs for this civ.

Then create ghost armies in the army editor..

You then can control all your enemy troop movements with your own triggers..

Mosh explains it best..He has a couple threads over at H.G.\Scenario design forum\search\type in ai..Should come up?

    Best regards,

    kjn

    Xamo,

I am assuming you are working on a single player scenario, right?

If so, the best thing is to create a second AI (Aoe3AI) as ally to AIloaderstandard.xs.

Define both AI's as a team in the “Player Data” screen and give them the same color so the player won’t know that he is playing against two AI’s.

You can also define the Aoe3AI as a hidden player.

You can then give the second AI (Aoe3AI) any type of units via the “Army Deploy” effect, and you can instruct them to go anywhere you want them to go via the “Army Move” effect.

Using this method you will have complete control over the second AI’s actions and you can make great scenarios this way.

Put AIloaderstandard.xs on “Moderate” level via the “Change Difficulty” effect and give AOE3AI some extra units so the game can be challenging and unpredictable.

For multiplayer games you will have to deploy armies under Gaia and then convert the armies to the AI.
