It's just annoying when you get put on a team where there's no communication whatsoever, and heavy artillery noobs blast away at the ground, barely dealing damage, while your team can't advance through the map due to lack of AA and repair tanks, while the enemy is cutting you down with choppers. :D I just discovered that Napalm Strikes are better than laser guided bombs against buildings :S

I don't own this game, but I was looking at it closely just before its release. Looks like a great game. I have just bought "Company Of Heroes" www.companyofheroesgame.com . COH is a really great WW2 RTS game.

I own CoH, but never went online.......it's really good, isn't it mate  I wanted to get World in Conflict for so long.....now I want it even more
Know what's weird? Day by day, nothing seems to change. But pretty soon, everything's different.

Company of Heroes is indeed a great RTS. I myself own both 'vanilla' and the standalone expansion, Opposing Fronts. Add me to your friends list, my nick is PonchoPenguin, I'm lvl2 american, lvl3 panzer elite, lvl2 wehrmacht, and lvl1 brits.

omg so true!!
This is pissing me off every 4th game...
I get cut down so dam often by enemy heavy choppers, or if I was air myself by medium choppers...
Even if there actually was a lot of aa around, but when trieing to tell them to catch those helicopter while I blew smoke they just dont react in 8/10 cases.
Would be kinda cool if there was somebody always backing you up, for example you go ahead with tanks and the other guy follows u with aa and repair tanks...
But my clan seems to never be online when I am doh... 
But basically I love the game, as long as the team isnt all that sucky.

Artillery is supposed to attack with the 'attack ground' command, because a single shot would take just too long to hit the target when attacking directly a unit.
But all in all artillery isnt a very good choice to play in the game. They barely deal damage as they have a slow fire rate, are easy to avoid, are dam expensive and get rly fast pwnt if the enemy has a scout helicopter around and sends a TA weapon, which is the case in most games Ive played by now.
When I play support I rather go for repair tanks and heavy aa, repairing the allied tanks where needed, and dispose the heavy aa all around the map hiding them behind buildings and forests.
Goes pretty well as heavy aa really soon tears down all enemy air if disposed well on the map and not getting caught by enemy tanks.
Oh and if u need a tip:
Use the TA aerial reconnaissance when you cant see the enemy units anymore because you blew smoke on your own tanks, or the enemy tanks did, and its especially helpful when you play some arty, in order to see where the units are and not just blindly shoot on the command posts, which fails in most cases.
Many people dont know how useful that Weapon is.
