Re: Unexpected Strategy Challenge
Brett3:That's a very good point. It is always crucial to have more than one deck. Even if you never use them, it can cause confusion on an enemy guessing what you are about to do. I usually have quite a few decks labeled "Rush", "FF", "Fi" (fast industrial), and then sometimes more decks.
on TAD that doesn't change much, because you can't see your opponent's deck name after the game starts. but on Vanilla, i used to put the deck names in codes, this way, even if he looked at my deck, he wouldn't be sure about what i was doing

Re: Unexpected Strategy Challenge
Brett3:Good point, however, not all players play like you and you wouldn't necessarily know I'm doing a Fast Industrialization. Sometimes you get unlucky and play players that have strategies to counter yours just by chance. I try to counter this by playing 2v2 or 3v3 games, hoping my allies get attacked first, or that my allies could help me if i needed it.
Spanish are expected to FF, so many people do rush them. This'd get beat by a bunch of things. My 9 axe rider semi-ff, india 10\10, standard jani rush, japan would beat you. It's not that good. Also, it's called fast industrial, not fast industrialization.

Re: Unexpected Strategy Challenge
Brett3:Well suprisingly like I said, I haven't really seen anybody rush me in quite awhile. Plus, its only one of the many strategies out there. Anybody else with some unexpected strategies?
That's because you're probably playing at the lower levels with people who don't know how to play properly.
