Every once in awhile, I like using a Russian Cossack rush. I usually get 15 cossacks or so in the enemy base by 9 minutes. (maybe longer or shorter) Cossacks throw the enemy off bigtime because everyone expects a strelet or musket rush. They try to spam anti-infantry units and the cossacks roll them over. However, Cossacks have terrible siege. I will soon try to work on getting some muskets into the rush for siege.

    Brett3:
That's a very good point. It is always crucial to have more than one deck. Even if you never use them, it can cause confusion on an enemy guessing what you are about to do. I usually have quite a few decks labeled "Rush", "FF", "Fi" (fast industrial), and then sometimes more decks.

on TAD that doesn't change much, because you can't see your opponent's deck name after the game starts.

but on Vanilla, i used to put the deck names in codes, this way, even if he looked at my deck, he wouldn't be sure about what i was doing

For me, your fast industrializing startegy doesn't sound good if an opponent has cav fast. For example, you wouldnt expect cav raids from Dutch in 7min with 8 cav on your ciivls when you havent army. Then i send 5 more cav  and then make grenadiers + 8 pikes  to fisinsh your buildings. Even if you aged, roledos should be killed fast, lancers from hc gonna be kileld by pikes staying back and rest of my cav.

Good point, however, not all players play like you and you wouldn't necessarily know I'm doing a Fast Industrialization. Sometimes you get unlucky and play players that have strategies to counter yours just by chance. I try to counter this by playing 2v2 or 3v3 games, hoping my allies get attacked first, or that my allies could help me if i needed it.

Spanish are expected to FF, so many people do rush them. This'd get beat by a bunch of things. My 9 axe rider semi-ff, india 10\10, standard jani rush, japan would beat you. It's not that good. Also, it's called fast industrial, not fast industrialization.

Well suprisingly like I said, I haven't really seen anybody rush me in quite awhile. Plus, its only one of the many strategies out there. Anybody else with some unexpected strategies?

That's because you're probably playing at the lower levels with people who don't know how to play properly.

True. I play from lance corporals-master sergs. I haven't really played to win lately. Just games for fun and for strategies. I still need a strategy that I will really love. (preferably a rush strat)

6 min ff with otto can be done easy even with a 3 villie card in discovery. Try is vs Russians its great.

Yes, it's really lethal. I had a game where I had a big taste of otto FF. I Builded some defences for counter an otto rush. I've seen 600 and 700 res cards, some ottos have them for making military instead of FF, I just thought the first. Scouting was hard since was texas, and my envoys were pwned by the towers and some jannies he had befor even could see anything. He reached Fort by 8:00, when that happened I knew everything was lost. My ally (lance corp) even said he was cheating Surprise

A really unexpected strategy is at the start of the game just build a market and get the hp/attack upgrades for the vills. and send your vills over to your opponents base and try and kill his villies. of course this strategy is 100% FAIL, but it is unexpected.

Don't play no rush. Play deathmatch. It skips the boring part.

Actually, with Frenchies it could work against noobs. Ever heard of the Coureur Rush? 10 Ranged Infantry with 360 HP at 2 mins isnt half bad...
