Brits for Japs? Nah, Spain is better. With Good Faith Agreements and Diplomatic Intrigue, the Japanese can send 780 wood, twice, 20% more often, and arriving 50% faster. The Tercios are also great for a Sohei Hammer, and extra shipments for Japs is really better for them than 10% extra HP. They already get great Musks, so why need Redcoats? Also, the Surgeons and Spies suck, whereas every Spain upgrade is good

What? 
They cost 100 resources each, and I believe they get an upgrade which kills villagers faster. If you put an explorer in the middle of say, 4 mills and train, you'll have quite a few dead villagers, especially if there's nowhere to garrison nearby. And it's highly unlikely somebody is going to pay attention to one explorer in their base, especially if you're putting military pressure on them at the time...

If uve got 300 wood and u want to shrine boom, build a consulate first, get the Portuguese ally whilst gathering 6 wood, and then build a shrine. Get Diplomatic Intrigue once uve got about 10 shrines or more up, and switch to Dutch for the Bank.
If uve got 300 wood and want to rush, either get a shrine first, gather 25 wood and get Spanish consulate for the shipment bonus. This means for every 5 shipments u would get with isolation, you now get 6, so that could be another 5 Yumis, 5 Ashis, or 11 Sohei. And the techs are great for rushes, particularly crate rushers.

always remember to scout. Its esier to counter something u know than just guessing what units he will use.
And if u see dead animals on the map it means that there are settlers hunting.
I think everybody knows these hints, but just in case....

i meanty stuff like if your sieging a garrisoned TC with pikes. find the pike the TC is shooting at and put it in cover mode so it can take more damage.

Always assume a russian player will send 10 strelets (atleast) before 6 minutes
A LT++ player will always keep a constant settler production. Also, Many LT++ players will often under estimate you and lazily boom. Rush like hell, and you may catch them offguard and off balance.
Never underestimate. Even a concripts 40 skrims will trounce your 10 skrims.
Ranged units dont always hit their targets. xbow and muskt especially. they miss nearly 40% of the time if they arent in a group, firing at another group.

any corp+ should have a constant vil production any units on AOE never miss targets....
 Think Vista's Aero is nice? So you haven't seem Linux's Compiz yet.

them in two groups, so if calvary outflanks you, you will not lose all
of your artillery.
