does it worth picking russians with their stupid strelets and their musketeers that are more vulnerable than normal musketeers?

although they can easily take lots of units they are weak...opinions and strategies?

if you learn how to play then you will find out that russia is good. watch milo's vod for russia and you will learn how good they are. you can also watch his pack of rec games for that strat.

Russians are weak, especially against the Ottomans. Early in a game, Abus Guns can thrash them and later, the Great Bombards can finish it off in style.

Russia actually does pretty well against the ottos. If you have trouble with abus guns, your not building enough cossacks, and your strelet mass will shut down their jans. Just sit back and play defensively, and outboom, I find Russia is actually a good counter to the ottos.

well, using the cheap, 1 pop cossak is very efective. but jans will kill em. and one day i saw an otto player using grens against a bunch of my russian musks. he did pretty well.

Build a stable and a blockhouse in colonial and go musk strelet. Your strelets will beat his jans, and your cossacks will beat his abus, it just takes a bit of microing. And grens are designed to beat musks, so thats no surprise there.

that must be a bad rush to have to rely on great bombards in the end to finish off the "weak early game  russians"

cheap, light, made in large batches early on that can easily overwhelm anyone who's not very experienced in the game. 

Not only that but there are also cards that give large numbers.

I'm a big fan of Russia in this game, I used them for the majority of my games. Just to single one unit out, I love strelets.

Of course if you play some boring, less skilled game type like treaty, they're not going to be as effective because there's absolutely no pressure for the enemy and they can build up a stronger army and upgrade them.

this is sup not treaty. and anged cav is in FF

Theres always the colonial ranged cav card from ports with the dragoon sstuck behind a wall

lol. illegitemate. the strat is strategic thinking and is difficult to pull off properly and to defend from even when not perfect. you just call it laming because you cant do it and you get beaten by it.

I can't take this anymore. Strelets are the counter to ranged cav, so no, it will not lost to ranged cav. It will lose to heavy cav.
