Instead, as regards normal civilization, what is good?
portugeese have an OP fortress army, but an UP colonial economy so you must get into the fortress age portugeese units that are OP: organ gun, best unit in all of AOE3, best light artillery gurilla muskets, best musketeer of the game cakkadoore skermisher, best skirmisher of all civs beastyerio crossbowman, best crossbow (obtain from unique church card) OP mortars, ship rangefinding card and your mortars get OP range jinnette dragons, best horse shooter in the game. ship card for OP range so you see ports army is extremely OP once you get to fortress age

how the heck are russia considered OP??

Its treaty section. In treaty mode you usually reach Age 3 but port army isnt OP...

They have insta spawn infantry and they are the best running civ

StrategicJoeL: the france is a modest civ nothing special. very easy to beat you must be german and the free uhlans will destray his CDB villagers because they have zero meelee resistance. also doppel spam will counter cuir spam since dopperls destroy horses
No one even half decent with French goes only curs. And in treaty, raiding villies isnt that big since they are usually in the walls. and they are OP because of their amazing eco and larger army population

no it isnt it semi opd but then i could say brits are opd also im a treaty player so i think the opde civs are the following:france, russia , Japan. reasons= france has curiassers, russia spams instant troops, and japan umm just has the siege units in game no doubt about it.
