Hell no. Not with Joel at least.
Death will take you without a care for circumstance or timing; live life to the fullest without fear of death, or need to know why it chooses who it does - otherwise you are already dead.

Re: Sioux Evening Star
Imperial Redcoat: Nice work man. Just one question. Are you SURE that sending 700 food is the way to go? I mean I don't have this card in any of my rush decks, preferring 700 wood or 700 coin which is much more valuable in terms of villager seconds.
Wouldn't it theoretically be better to have all your villagers on food and send 700 coin? Otherwise good work and your strat is well written.
what use is 700 gold 4 sioux unless u r spamming bow riders. axe riders cost 40 gold and 160 food. this strat only requires u to train 3 batches of axe riders. thats 2400 food and 600 coin. therefore, i would definately think that food is more useful in this situation. hunting=dangerous. mining near TC=very safe. so 700 food>700 gold.

Re: Sioux Evening Star
Good strat but can be beaten if u prepare acordingly. Few days ago i was playing against a guy who was doing this few times in a row. Did 2 games with him france vs sioux, won both. First time i did double barrack archaic inf - cbow + pike, first making 10 pike then 10 cbow then 5-5 and so on, this way i get pike to defend from ur raid and cbow to counter ur RR. Easy to balance eco for my french. The biggest problem here - cbow wont rly count RR when they are outnumbered. So the next game i did cbow + musk, double barrack. Ofcourse here its much harder to balance my eco, but i won too. It is a close call to not let ur musk die but here at least they dont have to stand back like pike and just take population, they can actualy do some useful damage, just keep making more musk. So generally yes, this strat will defineatly catch offguard most ppl who try to FF or spam 1 unit, but it can be predicted and countered without big difficulty.

Re: Sioux Evening Star
Thing about doing that is you're giving the Sioux complete map control. He doesn't need to commit to a fight, just kite around with his RR, while you try to chase him with xbows. IMO, a ff or semi ff would work well against this. Specifically a 5 Hussar Semi will let you defend against his Axes before he can turn them into RR. By that time you can be in fortress, with a decent eco, stable up, and a card ready. Send 5 Dragoons, make 5. Of course this strat could catch you off guard. However you should be able to determine his intentions with a heavy age 2 axe rider spam + Evening Star in his deck. Hes also hurting his eco bad by not sending 4 vill first in age 2. A must for Sioux IMO. And it takes him a lot of cards to get his mass ready. Best off doing a eco semi-5huss semi as France. 3 vill 4 vill, 700 coin, 5 goon, 8skirm/4 goon. Stable + 2 house from age up wood. Skip steel traps, just do age 1 ups. Make 5 hussars (scouting is a must to determine whether hes doing Axes or Bow riders). Then go for age 3. Best off probably age with 7 skirm, since they will do exceedingly well at defending against RR, or even BR if hes doing a BR mass. then maybe send 700 wood during transition. If hes changed his strat half way, or is just doing a BR mass, go 8-10 musk semi instead, this will help your 7 skirms when they pop out and assure they dont get wrecked by 5 axes. What does everyone think?
