    This is the first time I've heard of any problems with light settings..I'm using the reyk's x-y version..If you followed his directions in the install read-me with the editor download..You need to have the correct uimainnew .xml.xmb in your data folder..I.E..The x-y download has two uimainnew .xml.xmb files..One is for TWC and one is for TAD..If your running tad now..You'll need the correct file mentioned.

     I have tadbut not twc,and im running the nilla Reyk's Ediitor with it lol, and that the only problem.

    You sorta answered your own question..You upgraded to TAD..It is to my understanding..Now you can only design TAD version scenarios..In that case..The nilla version of the editor mod needs to be upgraded accordingly.

    Are you sure that is your only problem?.I think if you check things out a bit more..You're going to notice a few more things that aren't working correctly..LOL

    Agian..This is the first time I've seen or heard anything regarding a problem with light sets and reyks editor..

    If you've set everything correctly in your scenario triggers and in the editor itself and you're still experiencing the problem you've posted..The only thing that comes to mind..

    Being you're now using tad ..You'll need reyk's x-y version of the editor mod..The editor mod had  to change with the on - slaught of the expansions..( The games.EXE is the main culprit )..If you still want to design scenarios with nilla having TAD installed..You'll have to at least shuffle the files I've mentioned, for the editor mod.

    The only exception..You'll need to use Vanilla file and tad file accordingly..Again..This is to my understanding..If you read through reyk's read-me file that accompanies the download..It also states this..He includes both files mentioned for this reason.

    I've modded my editor files..I can only design TWC scenarios..I started out with reyk's x-y version ( Designed for the expansions ) and added some of my files from the patch that Pure Albino and I designed..I also fixed all the files in the x-y version editor where the buttons read in German..

    I didn't design this editor mod..I only studied and worked with it in depth..If my answer on this doesn't agree with you?.You should maybe ask the designer himself..I'm pretty sure though,  he'd advise you in the same direction.

    ...I'm a complete idiot. You know what I just realized? The whole time I've been doing this on nilla.... (which would explain why I didn't find any other problems) but it only started messing with the lighting when I installed TAD.

    The file shuffling would be annoying... and I have used the TAD editor some... and it seemed to work fine, had all the mod's buttons and everything.  :P

    I guess this needs no further discussion.

    (and thnx for taking time to make the long post, I hate making long posts... they take... too long, lol)

    Hey,

    I'm trying to use the "Modify Protounit" function to make an "SPC Amelia" unit have x amount of attack. I selected the "Range Attack Pierce" and input 5000 as the number, but it does not seem to be working within the scenario. Do i need to select a different subcatagory like "Range Attack Crush" or "Hack"? Is the number too high? plz respond ASAP :)

    In the modify protounit effect..Some fields work and some do not..This effect is broken for the most part..You can however.Send the homecity cards that upgrade Amelia..You can stack them in a single trigger..I.E..You make them "active" in one triger fire event to the next trigger..In that trigger you make them "unobtainable" fire event to next trigger and make them active again..In some cases you can send homecity cards over and over in a scenario with out doing this..You'll need to experiment..I believe one of the card's name is "fisticuffs"..

    We started a thread urging The game makers to fix this effect..You can go there and post an opinion if you like..Maybe if enough people voice their opinion..They will finally fix it..In that thread there is a link to this effect at the wiki..In it has all the fields that do work and all the ones that do not.

    Well, i sort of want absolute control over the variables and not have to do that, and I'm trying to fiddle around with other units but I can't find any that have the ability to have the modifiable variables i need. do you know any units that i can mod the vars with?

    All I can suggest is..If you're going to go the modding route..Just mod the data in Amelia's file in the proto.xml..That would be the easiest way.

    One more thing..If you're going to mod Amelia's file in the proto.xml..Back up the original .xml before making any changes..You will need to revert back to the original if you want to play on-line..

    This isn't bugging me that much, but if you use scenario editor mods (such as object rotaters) will you get OOS?

    I only use reyk's new editor 2 x-y  editor mod..As far as I know..You do not get oos with this mod.

    The "unit talking" effect, is giveing me some problems.  I put in for the time duration of the effect for 10 seconds.  But the white ring underneath the unit never goes away after the flashing stops.  Is there a way to fix this?

    Yes..If you used the "Unit speaking" effect??

    Out of your original trigger add in an "fire event" (to next trigger) effect..

    In the next trigger..You use the "unit speaking"effect again and this time you turn the white ring to "off"..
