    Subject: Re: Muliplayer Problems Vista

My freind has been able to join a few , say 1% of the ones hes attempted, these are always 1 v 1 and he generally drops out for no apparent reason if he does make it in game.

However I have never been able to join a game either by usign the browser or quick search. Noone has ever joined any game ive hosted either, which i find rather strange.

Both our routers have in built modems, hence its not possible to connect directly. I would also add my friend plays on his laptop and has problems connecting from several differnt networks he has tried on (freinds houses / university) the problem appears and presents the same.

But like i have said, my router has not changed since i last played with no problem approx 1 yr ago, no setings etc have been changed at all

Jirka, 2. check if you are typing the correct ip address or not while playing.
             5. Yes the language and the vrsion should be same.
             7. Windows new user account and then try to play in the windows new user account.

    Let me know the results

Typing correct ip address while playing? I'm afraid I don't understand. I only put IP address of my router to the user.cfg file, that's all.

Subject: Re: Failed to join games

I have had the exact same problem, Says failed to join game on 90% of the games I try to join.  I got this game when it came out I had no problems, but I just started playing again this week and I can rarely if ever play.  Everyone keeps saying they have the same problem and the response is always "Read the FAQ's". Guess what  I like everyone else, read them, I tried all of them , and they didn't help at all. And the port forwarding site someone sent a link to makes you buy it to use it. i'm not going to pay to forward ports, to play a game I already bought.  My friend forwarded his ports already and it didn't help him at all, he is getting the same problem I am.  He has a completely different ISP, firewall and everything.

My router works fine with every other game I play online, and the fact that I can join some games makes me even more sure that the problem is with ESO not me.  Even if it was an individual problem , you would think that with so many people having the same problem you would try to look into causes on the one thing they have in common , ESO.  So instead of treating everyone like retards, maybe you should look into improving ESO which has been terrible as long as I can remember, being down every other day with AOM and AOT.  I like the age of empires/aom series and I keep buying them, hoping that the next time the multiplayer will work better, and I thought aoe3 finally did, until this *** started.

nevermind about paying for the port forwarding , that was the version to do it automatically you had to pay for, I tried the manual one and it didn't help.

Subject: Failed to join game again...

Hi, when i baught aoe3, i had failed to join game problem, but i fixed it by redirecting ports(UDP 2300-2310 and TCP 2300-2300).But yesterday my computer had a problem(he turn off after around half an hour...) but i could enter any game in TAD, so i used my father's laptop, so i redirected the ports to the laptop's ip adress, and when i tried to play TAD, failed to join game again...(expept for some very few games)

What can be the problem with the laptop?Thx for any help
