LOL, do you know what abus gun stats were on release of game? That's far more crazy than anything FP has done :P and RE couldn't accept it since they are part of Microsoft so obviously can't just go and take other people's work even though the FP team gave them permission. Also i would like to mention that the FP team included better players for balance testing than RE/ESO teams ever did.

+1 I dont agree with balanced civs, than there wouldnt be a point in playing it. it would take the fun away
that's like saying "i like to play chess without my queen" "i like to play monopoly when someone starts with an extra $1000 " "i like to play checkers without half my pieces" etc. As you can see it just doesn't make sense. The only reason someone would like a rigged game is if it is rigged in their favor (ex: playing india/iro on RE patch)

The people at AgeSanctuary are good people, however they fail at making a patch. They brought the OP civs down instead of boosting the lower civs, and now we have a boring, even game. Also: They said the Abus change would be offset by the Eco change - Otto is one of the worst civs now on TAD They said the Spain changes would make spain playable - Spain is one of the worst civs now Once they learn to make a patch, i'll download it. Until then, Id rather Relic made a patch.

The problem with the AS patch is that they make BOTH players start without their queen, BOTH player starts with $1000 LESS and BOTH players have half their pieces in checkers, which kinda sucks.

They have changed spain and ottos a bit but yes they still need some more revision. However, think about it, when is the last time have ottos have been balanced? lol? Give them some more time, FP 1.2 is being worked on ATM! lol umm... they did boost low civs as well as weakening OP civs: -free hunting dogs for ports (I hope you consider that a boost) -extra starting 100 wood for dutch (boost) - 5 villager age up to fortress option for spain (that's a boost) I don't see why they shouldn't weaken OP civs, Firepit nerf was a good idea because it's kinda lame if natives just dump 25 vills on fire pit for attack dance at every major battle. I don't see how you could balance the civs without nerfing a bit as well.

Saying all civs on the FP are weak is kind of crap.. they're definitely all weaker than ES1.01a Japan, but I figured that's something good. Otto aren't UP, they're just one of the weakest civs, there's actually a difference. In a recent tourney, Kiljardi (Pr40+) actually used Ottomans, and pretty effectively at that. Spain isn't weak at all, the reason why some people say Spain is weak is because they want to play Vanilla style, do a naked FF, spam shipments, and win. That isn't how you play them at all, try using Spain with a little more thought and they'll be a great civ. I would like to take the time to thank those who answered to this thread with positive and constructive remarks instead of flames. Ps, Sioux get 2 or 3 bison with every eco shipment, but they will be boosted next patch economically, don't worry. And yes BR did get a nerf and are a little more normal in the FP. They will be studied a bit more carefully next patch as well. Any more questions, feel free to ask! The install instructions are in the first post, all you need to do is install, get a friend to install, and play. Generally there is an OBS for ~colonel level and an OBS for ~lieutenant/captain level on every night at 19.00 GMT. Have fun. =)

Yeah the release of the aoe3 years ago saw abus shoot from a distance so far away they would take out small groups of hussars before they got close. They could be massed in next to no time at all somewhere close to 30 to 40 at 7 to 8 minute mark.
What we lack in quality, we make up for in stupidity.
