I don't think they should remake until they have completed the series with a Spanish American war through WW2 times.Besides sure they will have competition, but they will have just as much doing a remake, cause i've already seen toooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo many midevil AND ancient times strategy games, thus i don't think to many people would by(considering they probably already have 2 trillion of them on their cp.).So i think it would be perfect to finish the series 1st.It would also give aoe players new strategies and tactics to figure out and master.

P.S If not a WW strategy game then pehaps a korean war through vietnam time period besides i dare you to name 1 korean war or vietnam war strategy game.

And Which are these  thousand of games set in ancient and medieval times?

You shouldn't consider the total war serie because those are  a mix of  TBS/RTS...

I've played only  few  and good  games set in medieval and ancient times:

    1) stronghold 1 and. 2

    2) rise and fall: civilizations at war

So , i'd like to see a remake of firs age of empires

there's the possibility that ES is working on both  games: age4( ww1-ww2) and Aoe1 remake

most ppl seem to agree that medival/ancient strategy games are great, (and indeed that may be the reason why there are so many), and im not saying they should not make AoE4, but the idea of either a new edition AoM or a remake/new edition of AoE1 or AoE2 seems to be more popular.

p.s. if they are realy going to make a new version of AoK it would show that they do care what we say Wink

    make aom2 everybody wants it!

I would have more chance of winning the lottery. Although ES_Paragon hasn't been too active on the Forums, suggesting he is up to something.Big Smile

AOM 1 sucked and AOM 2 will suck even more. AOE 4 FTW.....No remake of classic AOE games until the history of man is complete...
