skirm and a small amount of goons as france or full ruyter with very strong eco and skirm and towers are your only chances vs german.  AzureRebellion:No. Do not use cuirs. I forget the multiplier but it is insane versus cav. Even though war wagons are very good they are hardy used in any of the games ive played. Use skirms and halbs. Maybe some musks if you wish. The only time someone has used war wagons against me was the only time Im pretty sure i lost to a german. They are very good.
Actually, most german death match players who I play with spam WWs combined with some cannons and sometimes a few prussian needle gunners. Anyways, Its pretty easy to beat Germany with Spain... in TAD... (unction ftw) but, since most DM players prefer the nooby vanilla....

CrazyWarlord: alot of you idiots shouldnt be posting advice on here. first of all, "Light infantry" ARE NOT skirmisher type units. Light infantry are treated like heavy cavalry. skirmishers, arquebusiers, cassadors, macehualtin, strelets etc. are INFANTRY. Ranged INFANTRY counter LIGHT CAVALRY. Light cavalry only have bonuses vs HEAVY CAVALRY. So war wagons do not get bonuses on dragoons, ryuters and vice versa
Light cav get bonus vs ALL cav, a hussar falls under heavy cav, hand cav, and cav. A musketeer falls under ranged inf, inf, heavy inf. Halberdeir falls under hand inf, heavy inf, and inf. A skrimsher falls under light inf, ranged inf, and inf. all cav and inf have this sort of thing: hand or ranged; light or heavy; and inf or cav.

When playing a RUSH dm game, spain will generally beat germany!
I was able to beat a M. Searg german using spain in 3:22. I was getting units @ 0:30 seconds! You will need a very good deck and will need to be very fast to pull it off!
Whoaooaoaoa, a RUSH deathmatch?
The person who turtles and sets up a base while raiding the other person with only a few units will win! that is why he said DM rush.......You can instead of attacking keep the army in your base, Wall, put up towers, set up eco to actually have a chance if your attacks fail, Towers take out the enemy very fast.... esp when you have your ful military right there. That is why turtlers (5min turtle XD) win.
If you've ever played dm before against a player above PR 15, you should know that nobody turtles in deathmatch, unless they want to lose.

Sure go ahead, i'd love to play u 1v1! Germany have very expensive units and they also have one of the strongest rushes. However in order to be the fastest rusher you need to dominate the enemy with cav (germans are almost unstoppable when using war wagons) yet this type of rush is ineffective versus spain because their tercios' are exceptional counters. Spain can achieve an effective rush at around the 30(s) mark and are also able to sustain an army of instant infantry around the same type the opposition acquires instant cav! And whats great about spain is that they have dirty cheap units giving them an overall boost in ealry rushs! If the opposition is not vigilante enough and is not fast enough to counter then they will almost definitly lose the match! Spain and russia are undoubtly the fastest civs at rushing in DM however they are not the strongest! Also, whats your best time?! ~Out

That is why you use spain! Tercio can be produced in mass faster and sooner than a german wagon rush can be produced! Tercios' are also a fkn great counter for wagons!

also, by counter i meant "has bonus against" not "beat"
