       From what I've seen, you have to use Portuguese tactics against themselves. Unfortunately, Rajputs and often Sowars are necessary, backed by about 40 Sepoy. Sometimes you will have to use the Portuguese Consulate to get Anti-artillery, and use micromaneagement with Siege Elephants. Remember you must be producing 1 to 2 Siege elephants constantly, and just scrap Urumi, though they are good. It is better to have the other infinite shipments, especially since Urumi are nerfed like crazy. But no matter. As Savory said (or Hidan?), Ports will almost always beat India. Just make sure that you deceive him into making a 'great' move and try and win a great victory. If you can make him desperate to get into your eco, you can win.

    You have to circle and play India like Spain when your fighting Ports. If you fight directly Head-on, you will lose, but if you get some edge and corner on the opponent, and are able to circle on him, you will win. That's my advice to you.

    india beats ottoman pretty bad if u can make quick work of their military.

    Also, i'm pretty sure Indias sepoys beat ports and british musks
