Ofb Terminator0: OP civs/guns/characters are a way of life in video games. You either deal with them, join them, or quit the game because of them.
Even Mario Kart has a tiers list now.
or you balance them through patches, take them away in competitive play ect ect ect

no, Ofb Terminator0 was right
halo, played on specialized game settings, cod4 played on specialized game settings, ssb played on specialized game settings, starcraft insane amount of patches. hes not right hes just talking out of aoe, which the only reason it isnt as popular as games such as wc3 and sc is because of the terrible terrible balance there has always been in the game.

Games like Age of Empires are harder to balance than other games. For example in a game with guns and all of that maybe there a specially good weapon, but somehow everyone can have it, while in Age of Empires everyone gets different things. Ofb Terminator0: You either deal with them, join them, or quit the game because of them.
This is very true, but to avoid the third point patches are the way to go.
