    But i need to know how the fort is ref to, because i dont think it likes the entire folder structure buildings/spc etc.

    The way it's referred to as,  in the protox.xml,  or proto.xml, or protoy.xml would be my best guess?

    except remove the xml?

    Thanks for the support :D (heh i could make a name for my self heh)...uhh this is only supposed to be a test and its killing me lol. But as soon as i figure it out...and I WILL!! then uber w00t :D

    EDIT:

    Bollocks...this doesnt work:

    "<submodelref ref="buildings\wall\wall_wooden_corner"/>"

    Referal to the actually art file isnt seen to be present, in game the model just dissapears :(

    it seems it MUST be like so:

    "submodelref ref="wood"/>"

    Which is REALLY annoying as i cant find out what the "fort" referals are...it will take ages to do all like...200 or so combos until its right lol.

    Anyone any ideas? in the proto its just the anim file which is the full:

    "buildings\spc\fort\spc_fort_corner.xml"

    But as said, that doesnt work, any more ideas? 

    Dam im confused now...should i be referring to the DDT file if im going to use the full path or the GR2 file?

    AGAIN IT WORKS!!!!!!!

     

    W00T im now even closer to getting this working fully.

    Oh man i dunno what i did...i just copied from the bloody folder and it seemed to just click into action!! Actually no wait i do know what i did.

    Upon specifying the sub model before all of the wierd con_1 stuff i was stating "spc_ft" instead of "spc_fort" uhggg

    "spc_ft" is for my referals lol and not my input data. Wow i cant beleive this is all actually working so far, taking ages but...still working Big Smile 

     

    W00T! Ok now onto the other 5 parts of the walls lol, oh man...go me! 

    Oh and it was "Spc Fort Corner" was my referal Yes 

    YES! got the 1st wall done! hey i could probably finish this (for aoe3 at least) by tommorow! then hopefully apply it for TWC and TAD as soon as i can!

    Only thing i wont be able to do obviously is making construction animations for the walls because:

    A) It will take far to long

    B) I dont know how to model

    C) I assume i'd need granny toolz.

    But really who the hell really cares if all those people out there who have whined about having fort walls buildable (including me i must admit) FINALLY are able to build them?

    I for 1 am not bothered in the slightest! If someone wants to make build animes...no problem i'll give em the codes.

    Heh im chuffed now though [8-|]

    Alright!

    As soon as you get this together..Please post the entire code, as it should be?.A lot of guys would be thankfull..Including me!.

    Or think about making a mod..One for each version of the game..I think it would do great over at H.G.downloads

    You can add the building-steps of a building... don't know how, though.

    Lol kjn you want me to post the ENTIRE code? Lol ITS MINE DIE!!! lol joking.

    I'll make a mod for all 3 versions of course Smile

    Here are my plans, possibly in order heh:

    1) Do versions for TWC and TAD and possibly vary techs.

    2) Add the correct icons so its a little cleaner

    3) Give walls some kind of resistance (well duh) possibly resistance for siege, melee and ranged.

    4) Maybe add some kind of building steps, but mostly likely not.

    5) Fiddle around with some other stuff maybe.

    Well since currently typing this im at school, i dont have the benifit and ease of use to check in game if my coding is correct, and nor do i have the comfort on the eyes for notepad++ (which im working with) hve to keep on wordpad here at school lol.

    But i shall do as much work as i can here and will probably finish in good time too :)

    By the way if anyone else has any suggestions for maybe other buildings in game, do let me know.

    I'm possibly planning to add the fort sentry towers somewhere at some point, possibly making them some kind of rapid fire AI or AC weapon (anti inf/anti cav) but who knows, best to not get ahead of my self yet Big Smile

     Well for AOE3 anyway, i'll create a release in heaven files :D
