Fanpatch 1.1 is bonkers.

therefore the mass cavalry tech is weaker too and Thoroughbreds do not reduce train time anymore.

read the whole thing, don't pick just a single aspect out of it

Mass Cavalry: (ChurchMassCavalry) Cost decreased from 750 gold to 350 gold. Effect reduced from -50% to -25%.

Thoroughbreds: (HCXPThoroughbreds) No longer provides a train time reduction. Only effect is -15% cost reduction for Cuirassiers.

As the person who created the "Patch Launcher" program that is used to change between the ES 1.01a patch and the fan patch I'd like to know what is keeping you from using the fan patch?

No, I agree with MNBob. I really wish that everyone would play with the patch. If not for anything else than at the lest it would be worth it to cut the Japs down to size. They are way too OP and it drives me crazy! I'm a MS and want to use it, but because no one else does if I do get on the fan patch I can never get a game. I think that everyone has the same mind set that I have and that's why most people aren't using it.

jeeze...

i can see from your point of view, that both of you are too bad at the game to know anything about balance.

but don't run down the fan patch, alot of good players worked hard on it and it is the best balance the game has ever had.

 

 

 

btw: FP 1.01a is out for all players who actually care about balance and hate getting lamed by india on the robot patch.

I'm pretty sure by the time you reach pr 13, people are laming Jap all over the place, and its obviously OP at that level, so you don't have to be an expert to realive Japan is OP. They are still pretty OP in 1.02 IMO.

i wonder if the base non - upgraded version of AOE3 couldn't have been just as balanced as our multiple (20?) patches have made the game......

no you phoqing idiot, patches DO make the game more balanced! it might make one thing worse... but i don't think you have been around long enough to remember how bad the balance was before.... great house, forest prowler, ERK, disciple, even dutch, they where alot worse than it is in the fan patch, a world of difrence.
