Subject: Any statistics for cover, trample modes?

I never paid attention to this modes since never macroed units but just read about them and I want to use those in certain situations.

Is there any any information available how much additional abuse cavalry or infantry  will take in cover mode?

How much additonal damage cavalry will do in trample mode?

    never use trample mode.

It *might* be useful in some very rare occasions. For instance, if you encounter 20 unprotected villagers mining somewhere and you have 10 free uhlans you don't need for fighting (they suck for fihgting in vanillas and are good enough for raiding, considering they're free).

G0D is a noob and probably french, so I hit him with a stick too.

But trample mode makes area damage, right? So if I'm being rushed by russian with 20 strelets and have 5 Hussars, would not be beneficial to use trample mode?

Trample mode is NEVER good because your cavalry do not really dish out any extra damage and move half as fast.

Stagger mode does not spread units far enough apart to be useful against cannons.

Cover mode is useful lets say if you are attacking a building with pikeman, to put the one unit in cover mode who is being shot by the building (tc, outpost...) The reason you put ONE in cover mode and not all of them is because they attack at half speed as they are taking half of the damage - kapeesh?

Volley change to melee mode for heavy ranged infantry is GOOD to help kill close cavalry units.

Does stagger only spread units and not give them a defense multiplier?

When cannon fire and i put them in stagger and it feels like they are getting less hp lost and less units killed even if they are still bunched up xD.

It spreads them out so when a cannon hits one unit the damage done to the units around it is less because they are farther away. Also stagger mode only spreads out your units when you move them, so if your are fighting and a cannon pulls up, put them in stagger mode AND move them a little so that they spread out. Stagger mode in the middle of a battle is pointless because it saves the same amount of damage you receive when your are moving from entering stagger mode,
