    Subject: Initialisation failed

    Just installed AoE III and had confirmation of a good instal. When I try to run the game all seems to go OK for about 10 secs and then it hangs and I get an error message saying 'Initialisation failed'. Have tried starting without sound and without video but same thing happens. Any ideas? This is doing my head in.

     

    My computer system rating is 5.2 so shouldnt be a hardware problem. Running Windows Vista Home premium 32

    Try uninstalling and reinstalling the game.  Also make sure you have the latest patch.

    I've tried re-installing. Currently downloading the latest patch. Will let you know how I get on. Thanks for the quick reply
