Not really, Ceylon is actually a cool map, and requieres a different skill type. Just because you dont like war ships doesn't makes the map gay. I actually like playing it sometimes, IMO, its actually a cool map.

i dont have TAD so would be hard to play that map. and every time i use warships, even if only 1, everything starts freezing up. so im not using them until this poatch comes out. lol

Get a better computer: I had battles with 5++ war ships and nothing lagged either for me or for my opponent.

Is Ceylon the map where you start on a little island and you have to migrate to the larger one?? That map I guess could be fun, but I wouldn't play on it as a serious map since there is no way its a standard map(like Plymouth). As for the release of the patch, it should technically be released tomorrow since the news of it was released on the 1st and today is the 7th. Can't till it comes out.

Water maps are a lot of fun and hopefully will soon be played more as ships will cause less lag after the upcoming patch.

to eliminate ship lagg go toC:\My Documents\My Games\Age of Empires 3\Startup and then your 'User.cfg' should say the following:

showScore 0
maxparticles=0.00000000000
RoughenSettings-pos "316 250 484 350"
BrushMaskDialog-pos "0 0 116 673"
showTime 0
+noIntroCinematics
