my german strategy
Hi, I got this game a month or so ago, but i figured a pretty good german strategy. I'm pretty new at this so if somthing dosn't make scence, please bear with me. recommended cards: germantown mills, factory(2), 1 infinidate sw, fort(2), stronger explorer(forgot name), improved woodcutting(also forgot name.) advanced mills, advanced arsenols, advanced plantations, and any others that may be usful. (ur coice.) ok, first, i always put 2 sw on food and 1 on wood, and spawn 3 settelers. put 1 setteler on each recorse. while your doing this, put your exlplorer to work. make him collect tresures. you never know what usful stuff you could find!! your first card should be the card that gives your explorer a dog( i blank on the name :( ) the second card should be to help your woodcutting. (you'll need it. theirs gonna be so much wood to be used in the second and thired age) and third card should be 1/2 sw. You should also build trading posted early on for fist dibbs and free exp early on. keep on building settelers and put them on wc and/or food. (mabe a little on coin) also, keep building houses as needed. once you have a decent amount of food/settelers, age up using the 500 food guy! once you age up, collect the food and build as many settelers as possible(build houses as needed.) put some on food, some on wood, and most on coin. your first card should be 2 sw. put 1 on coin and 1 on wood. as you get more food, get more settelers! the next few cards should be advanced mill/plantations for you may be running out of avaliable food/coin scorces neer you. try to biuld more tp for trade or na's. the improvments could be usful for your economy/early defences. upgrade your tp to stagcoaches for faster trade and set it to the reasorce you lack on most. now build needed biuldings, such as market and get improvments from them(which should actualy be done in age 1.) biuld a saloon, a stable, a barrak, a church, outposts, and houses as needed. train some uhlans for defences for foes that attack early(such as the spanish) keep biulding settelers! your next cards should be any you already didn't get from age 1/2. once you have enough, age up! ( i realy don't care with who) ( now comes the military plart) build another stable and barrak. improve to veteran uhlan. start building skirmishers and uhlans and if you can afford it, artillary.improve all the ecenoming upgrades at market and other places thats needed like mill. your first card should be germantown mills, so you can train sw.get some of those and distributee them were needed. keep building up your eco/military. put troops on your tp for thats probably were the foe will be attacking fist. tp are very inportant! you don't want to lose them!! put a fort neer the tp thats attacked most( or neer your base if your cautious) when you feel comfortable to do so, age up! (i sujest the tycoon with 1k coin) The fist card you should get is the 2 factorys. put them to watever recorce you need most, or to the cannon if you feel like it. keep biulding eco with more settelers and military. upgrade all upgrades you can afford. such as needle gunner, czapka uhlans and alot of others. upfrade tp to locomoive.keep on biulding military to a large force and eco. and start some small raids with uhlans. (i attack from the side, so i can hit their soft spots, like all their factories, houses, tc and eco buildings. then i do a larger raid on their military. i bring lots of howizers, which are long range and powerful to inflict massive damege to the buildings. you can do this, or wait till next age, to upgrade military to imperial. or you can do a rvolution and kill all of them in one big swoop with a massive army of militia, gatlings, and your origional armys. I don't think this would actually work well against a bit higher ranked players.
First off, age I you ALWAYS put all your vills on food to age up as early as possible. You only put a vill on wood or gold if you find a good wood treasure and you can afford hunting dogs ( market upgrade ). First card for germans should always be 2 SW ( the best age I card there is imo )
Germans have a good colonial rush, and can put good pressure with the free uhlans they get from the shipments, use them to your advantage! They lack a musk type unit, but a crossbow - pike combo is pretty decent for germans! If you reach age III, SW from mills is a good card to use to get a decent boom going. However, people who use this card tend to leave their hunts earlier, and switch to mills. Stay on hunts as long as possible!! I would maybe recommend sticking with 1 mill to produce SW. 1000 wood would come in handy to build a mill + TC to get vills out at a nice rate. In age III... A skirm, uhland, doppel combination is pretty nice and hard to beat imo, and with a good economy backing the spam up you should do a decent job!

I came to this thread and actually didn't read it when I realized it wasn't TacticalWillie's.
emsstewart929: G00GLE:Actually I recently played with Augustiello. He did not OOS or droptrick and I experience no lag. I guess he doesn't cheat anymore,
