Brit TAD vs Nilla
When looking at the newly posted 1v1 statistics for PR29-50 on great plains, Brits have the following win% (approx.)
Vs Dutch Nilla 41 TAD 64; French nilla 38, TAD, 39; German nilla 40 TAD 56; Otto nilla 36 TAD 38; Port nilla under 50%, TAD 59; Russian nilla 30, TAD 41; Spain nilla 40, TAD 66
Clearly some major changes have been made in TAD to give the brits a boost – what are they? What has caused the increase in win %?
I'm kind of a big deal.

the nilla maps are so bad for brits. they can't survive long enough on the limited resources to get their eco going. also tad pr29-50 are or at least were much stronger than nilla 29-50 and brits take some skill to handle. and most of the other civs have been nerfed while brits stayed the same.

Ok – thanks GS – this makes sense.
I only play nilla now but going to install TAD soon in part because I know allot of the pro talent has shifted back to nilla and TAD seems to be easy pickin’s to bash – maybe even easier these days to rank up in than nilla.
TBH most of the TAD players that post here (other than GS) that play sup seem to lack some fundamentals of the game, but maybe this isn’t a representative sample of what’s really going on in TAD.
It seems like the top players are shifting back to nilla tho. Prior to playing some TAD I’m just researching a bit and considering ending my 4000 game laming streak with French and trying something easier/funner to lame with.
I'm kind of a big deal.

the top players mostly quit when FP 1.2 became inactive. the people who post here mostly being noobs has nothing to do with tad, it's just this website. there haven't been competitive players posting here frequently since the game first came out other than myself. agesanctuary was the real home of the community, but i haven't gone there in a long time. when the competitive community became inactive, so did agesanc.
seems like most competitive players did allot of posting on RTS-sanctuary.
Question for you GS-- the WCG had AOE3 in 2007 and 2008 -- I don't really know much about WCG but just wondering why AOE3 isn't one of the games played there -- if it was do you think there would be a stronger interest in Aoe3 at a top level? Lets face it-- pro players are going to want an opportunity to compete all the way !?!?
I realize that there are no failures, but only outcomes. I always succeed in producing outcomes. I always succeed in learning from each outcome.

because the game isn't big enough, obviously? yes there would be more of a competitive community if it were still played at WCG but there simply isn't enough interest to make it commercially viable for WCG. by a long shot.
