Age Level Control:
I want to be able to setup my scenario so that you (or anyone else AI or human alike) can't reach the Industrial or Imperial Ages. I thought this could be accomplished in the forbid Tech area but for some reason it's not doing the trick. I forbid Industrial and Imperial in the forbid tech menu but I can still work my way up and achieve those age levels. And yes I made sure that player 1 (the main civ in my scenario) was the one showing up at the top of the forbid menu. Any help with this would be apprciated.
Flying birds:
How do I add flying birds that fly across the map. When I add (via nature...gaia) the flock of geese they just sit on the ground...they don't fly anywhere.
AI Attacks on Human Player:
Not knowing where the human player (1) is going to setup shop on the island, how can I make certain that an AI deployed army (Computer Player 2) will find and destroy Human player (1). I have a bunch of regular AI and ghost AI armies that I want to deploy and attack player (1) regardless of where he sets up his village. How to do?
Thanks,
Redclaw

Redclaw,
Not only do you do what you've posted..You also need to set a trigger using the forbid and disable effect..You need to add an effect in the trigger for each age you wish to forbid..You need to also make a trigger and use player setage to the correct age you desire..I diagramed how to use this effect in the nine most asked question thead..You must make these triggers fire very early in the scenerio..Otherwise the ailoaderstandard civs will ignore your trigger commands..It is wise to use timer conditions for each trigger sequence and setting your timers for five and six seconds into your scenerio..
Flying birds..Under the "world" tab at the top of your editor select "map types"..Then select a map type you prefer..You should then see your flying birds..
The AI attacks on human player..AI loaderstandard does what it does..It's programed that way..You cannot control where it's going to go..You can chum it to a degree by adding treasures and resources, ect. in the path you want it to follow but that will only help a little..That is why I suggested using the method I posted a while back..Do you remember about the age3 ai and creating ghost armies?. You then can do pretty much what you want with this method.

Hey Thank KJN,
Civ Age Level Restriction: Actually I did also use a trigger to set the current civ age level of the players (CPU and Human) and forbid certain tech age levels early in the game but it still did not work...yet. I will fiddle with timers on this.
Flying Birds: I will try out the flying thing and hopefully be able to get the birds off their arses! LOL
CPU Players finding you on the map: As for the AI's ... I did follow your recommendation. Actually I used a CPU player with no AI at all so I would have total control over their movements (zombie army)...and that so far has worked perfectly. The problem I have is trying to make sure they go attack the human player whereever they might setup shop. I can set move to points or move to an area but not really knowing where they (human player) are going to be makes it amost impossible to predict. I have not tried this yet but I wonder if you can setup way points for movement so they comb over a larger area until they spot the enemy. I have fiddled with AI Attack plans but I am guessing those don't work when you dont have some type of AI engaged for the CPU player. I also tinkered with the idea of tying all the attacks to a unit (main character...who can not die) but if that one unit ends up writhing (the "I am in agony speach") in some remote part of the map then the jig is up. The illusion of coordinated attacks with be dispelled....People will just park that character somewhere safe so all the armies attack him and not their main settlement. .much to ponder.

You're most welcome Redclaw.
Happy to have been able to assist..
I understand your plight with the computer ai..I've been thinking about your approach with this ever since you posted before..It has some merit but the ai still maintains a certian amount of control (in my opinion)..What that usually means is unstability in your triggers..I've done some extensive testing and found little success when using ailoaderstandard for anything as far as triggering commands for armies..It does what it's programed to do..When I began to use age3 ai and the method posted..Things started to go smoothly..I was able to control everything and still maintain a bit of spontaneous effects from the ailoaderstandard civ as it does it's thing..
"The I am in agony speech"..You could make him invulnerable??
Keep us posted?

I believe he could but he'd need to also place it in the forbidden units/techs at the top of the editor..This could be another possibilty.

Mach5Razor,
I only use windows XP..I'm not familiar with the workings of vista..I don't know of any one who uses this system, whom I could direct you too..Have you tried in the technical and game support forum?.They may be able to help you there..There is also a vista faqs on the main page..Click on the faqs button..You could maybe try there too.
