    wats the game like now any new maps any new european civilizations how are the improvements on the nations specificly russia.Any new units for the countrys? Thanks!

    Subject: Results: Ensemble Studios Mini Xpack Tournament
    The tournament was based only on new maps and I think all but one are great. Russia will be a great civ to play in the expac because of certain new cards and features which boost russia quite a bit (also making them more fun).

    I believe LieS beat Sup3rMaN earlier in the day with the Dutch...so don't draw too many conclusions from the result of this tournament, especially since the balance team is still at work on the Xpack. :)

    LieS actually beat me 3 times earlier that day with Dutch. Luckily those games enabled me to expect what he would do and counter it properly. Plus he might have just been having a bad day. We all have those.

    For the last two weeks or so we have had a small group of players visiting us here at Ensemble Studios. These are the four semi-finalists from our recent Warrior's Path Tournament, and two players we invited, Spody and Mr.Milo. They were playing The WarChiefs expansion pack all week, and we decided to have a mini tournament here on their last day!

    Here are the results. Keep in mind that Wacko and Sowers were playing the Sioux pretty much exclusively. Sup3rMaN was using the third and as yet unannounced civilization in the expansion pack.

    Round Robin...every player plays each other once.

    Round 1
    Mr.Milo defeats Spody
    Wacko defeats Sup3rMaN
    Sowers defeats LieS

    Round 2
    Wacko defeats LieS
    Sowers defeats Spody
    Sup3rMaN defeats Mr.Milo

    Round 3
    Mr.Milo defeats Wacko
    Spody defeats LieS
    Sup3rMaN defeats Sowers

    Round 4
    Spody defeats Wacko
    Sup3rMaN defeats LieS
    Sowers defeats Mr.Milo

    Round 5
    Sup3rMaN defeats Spody
    Sowers defeats Wacko
    Mr.Milo defeats LieS

    Sup3rMaN 4 – 1
    Sowers 4 – 1
    Mr.Milo 3 – 2
    Spody 2 – 3
    Wacko 2 – 3
    LieS 0 – 5

    Sup3rMan then played Sowers, both with 4-1 records, in a best of three series to decide the winner. Sowers used Sioux in every game, and Sup3rMaN used the third Xpack civilization. Sowers took the first game, but Sup3rMaN came back to take the next two games in a row!

    Congratulations to Sup3rMaN and we'd like to say a big thank you to all six of these players for coming to visit us. There were a number of extremely close games during this tournament, and they have given us a good deal of great feedback on the game. Much appreciated guys!
