    Subject: How do i defeat calvalry?
    Its almost impossible to beat 50 units of mamelukes or of cuirrasiers. what units should i use to stop such an army. [Edited on 10/25/2005]

    One way to defeat Calvery is to have a army of pikemin and musketeers with the pikemin in front and the musketeers behind and having a few cannons with the musketeers is not a bad idea

    I just remembered another way to defeat calvalry you can build ships then with a small army lure them to the sea and have the ships kill them

    That's a great real historical strategy. Pretty funny that this game purports to follow "real" military strategy and one way to kill cavalry is to have ships kill them.

    did u know this is one of the oldest strats ever. romans and greecs and phoeniciërs often closed enemy's in by see, flank them (and attack their back with some ppl coming out of ships sometimes)
    btw the best way to beat cavalry = with cavalry

    well, I think the best way to defeat calvary is when your redcoats do a charge it not only takes out calvary but artilary too.

    How to kill calvary =

    1. dragoons
    2. pikemen
    3. halbediers
    4. Musketeers
    6. and other options that are unique to one civ. like warwagons for germans, dopplesoldners etc.

    if you wanna defeat cavalry, use dragoons.
    Everyone forgot about the Portuguese, their upgraded dragoons take out all cavalry in a few seconds

    Dude.. just use dragoons.. if you want to get fancy add some infantry to that then w/e.. dragoons own. period

    Subject: How do i defeat calvalry?
    I try to defeat cavalry in two ways. Firstly fight the fire with fire. I establish a big cavalry army like the enemy. But is ver expensive and hard.

    Another way i use is to use lots of cannons, falcons i mean. A small cavalry group gives me enough time, while cannons fire like hell from behind. And muskets finish the injured cavalry. Walls can also be effective if you are in your base, they give enough time to cannons.

    dude the way i do it is get factores build tuns of heavy cannons build like 10 of the feild cannons put them in frount blow them all away.
