This treaty thihng could acctually be the biggest problem ever i mean all you have to do is play rush, get masses of armies into their base (before they wall) and keep upgrading them! then as soon as the treaty is over...BAM there base is gone.

You would be behind with your economy, your opponent would know your army, and they could completly circle your army, meaning you would lose real bad. If you spread them out they can kill them with strategic towers. And while 100 pop army is in thier base, they can have 50 for defending thiers, and 50 attacking, where your army would have been, or since they would already have enough resources, they could wipe out your base more sucessfully than you could do to thiers, resulting in a loss for the rush. Finally and most importnatly, alot of nr games are half map, and most if not all players who i play in nr are not looking for a cheap strat, they want a fair game.

Your right, most people want a fair game, but also most people cheat.

ES should of made the treaty games half map, that way you even have peace of mind, but they fell short on this one i think.

some peopl only want the rule of no rush so adding half map might make some peopl who don't like that rule be wishing there is a rule that only has no rush. so making it just one rule wasint that bad of a idea i think.

ps. there are maps that have no rush and half map. you can download them at agecommuinity.com.

Those maps suck, because you get no PR or xp for playing on them. So they suck.

    Peace

sandy said that towers would shoot military units if they come into range. also if they come in to early then you will be able to counter whatever they have pretty easily

Only problem with that thinking is that most good NR players dont leave it to the last minute to create an army....example being a typical NR40 game -- most good players will max out their pop well before 35 in addition to having over the pop limit due to church upgrades and native indians...so while u play a rush strat and have a limited econ, a NR'r will have ur army in his base ready to be elimiated and have an army outside your base....

another thing - most NR civs aside from maybe Dutch, have good enough econs to rebuild at least another 2 full armies even AFTER their eco has been wiped out, so while your base and his are both wiped out, the NR player will have sufficient resources to continue on....

Also and this is only my opinion based on the NR decks of known rushers that I've looked at that rushers/normal gamers generally have no clue about eco upgrades - reason - they dont have to normally worry about it
