A combo of microing skills, strategic thinking, creativity and ability to change is no doubt what makes him so good.
Simply because you lack those skills yourself gives you no right to insult him. Online gaming is a hobby just as much as surfing for example, just because it uses your mind instead of physical body doesn't make it any less of a hobby.
Shut your jelous selves up and go practise ;D

i dont like laming, but first, dutch isnt as op as spain is. second. the whole top is laming, so hes still the best lamer:) and for most players, even if they lame they dont have a hance to get into top 100 or so...

i say respect to that dude, hes just too good for this game:D

all the noobs always resort to calling others having no life when he is simply just a gifted player. he plays 2 games a week and can still play at the top level and i would bet my life that all the noobs here wouldnt be able to beat iamgrunt even if they played 3x as much as him.

Posted by: bromortegh I think that someone who devotes as much time to a game as iamgrunt does to aoe3 is a bit messed up. He has played like 2000 games in a year...And i would prefer to be a conscript and have a life than to play a game 24/7 and lack a social life...

exactly. I totally agree with you. a lot of people in his country do that.

i would play him if i had the chance. i would be totally pulverized, but it would be tight still. and i wouldnt lose a single point when i lose.

Seriously that is just playing the game until you know everything about it and do things to your max advantage. And being good at playing computer games is not very useful in REAL life...

It is if you make money from it.

if you play the game becasue it is you job then it is a life. and i say for him it is a good life. Stop your whining that he has no life becasue you cant become like him. probabaly no one will be able to be like him.

7 games a day is nothing considering each game lasts on average 15 min. back in vanilla there was a period of time where he played 1-2 games a week and still was able to beat the top players consistantly. alot of noobs think that if you just play 24/7 u can become an expert which is totally not true. if iamgrunt were to play 1 game a week right from the start he would still be much better than 99.9% of us.
