I played vs a sioux and dutch combo nr40 no block.

i had highest score using spanish (which was sad) but ya my partner was french

their first wave consisted of about 50ish dog soldiers and 150 ruyters, is there any concievable way to stop this, my partner made all goons and i made all rods but they still bore right through

any advice would be helpful

 

i would say spam pikes and halbs

Ninjas are expensive but it's fun to watch them slice up the dogs. 

Use muskateers instead of halbs for cav there ranged for one so more of them can hit one target, dog soldiers are tough but eventually if u keep spamming muskets and skimrs nd put them behind ur walls they will kill most cav, after u survive the first attack from the sioux nd dog soldiers theres not much else they can trhow at you tht can realli hurt u.For dutch they havnt got the strongest late game eco take advantage of them try to drain them rather than fight them , with the added 50pop army they will out outnumber any civ.

spam muskets.

i sed muskets and skirms after taking out most of the dog soldiers thn bring them out the walls , after that you can pretty much steamroll wtever the sioux send at you , mass skirms kill ruyters or you can use muskateers.

since u were spain u should have made impiereal pikes that would have destroyed their whole army

I have to agree that "dogs" are a mess, especially if they get into your base as, with the fire dance, they can take about half of it out while you are chasing them around trying to kill them.

That said, the last time I was spammed by dogs my skirm/halb combo was able to deal with them before they did too much damage. Unfortunately, then those wakina rifles showed up and built a couple of dozen tee-pees and war huts and I couldn't get close enough to kill them or get rid of the tee-pees fast enough with cannon. They finally drained my econ (My fault I really shouldn't have spied in a 3v3) and then took my base. BTW that crazy Sioux chief is just insane -- He ran in and killed five mortars I had in a line with just one hit.  

lol ya. with the upgrade at the fire pit the sioux warchief deals 10x damage against art

if you let him get that close to your artillary that is a big mistake, also make each motar motar a diffrent teepee.
