Subject: Out of Sync Concerning Fort Wars

I'm wondering if an ES member can pin this as this issue appears to continuously come up even after we long addressed it over a year ago.

    1. Genuine Fort Wars maps do not cause out of sync.  This is a false accusation.  Make sure you are playing genuine versions from www.pftq.com/fortwars

    2. For AOE3 regular, there is a edited, non-genuine version going around, most commonly known as Fort Wars 3.0; THIS CAUSES OUT OF SYNC.  It is not, however, from us, the original authors, and is highly unbalanced and bugged.  Please not play this one.  The latest genuine version for AOE3 regular is 2.3

    3. In response to these accusations, Fort Wars 2.3 for the original game has been made to counter and "fix" this problem for anyone who loads the map.  If you have this OOS issue, simply download the map for your game type at www.pftq.com/fortwars and load it once.  If your OOS does not clear afterwards, it is not caused by any map.

The original fort wars authors have tried to keep their map from causing OOS, please make sure and use their version of the map before accusing it of causing issues.

Now, if you experience consistent OOS after installing any user map/scenario/mod, remove the file and try again. In some cases uninstalling /rebooting/reinstalling may be necessary.
