Hello all, sorry for my longer absence. bloomwrestler - Posted: 2/27/2006 4:25 PM Hey Monty, I have tried to modify some of the premade maps(saving them under my own name). but I can't get them to show up where you select the map that you want to play. I can get some custom maps that my cousin made to work perfectly but if i try to modify one and move it to the RM folder right next to my cousin's it still doesn't show up. It doesn't even acknowledge that they are there. I am using Notepad, I know i am saving it in the right spot but they dont show up. Do you know why that is and any suggestions? I would appreciate it. Thanks, ~bloomwrestler~ |

When you edit maps, you should rename both *xs and *xml file and MOVE it to the Custom Documents Directory of AOE3, usually 'C:/My Documents/My Name/My Games/Microsoft Games/AOE3/RM" - it is NOT the program directory. All other informations you can find in the FAQs of my tutorial page (just check the topic). papadan_ - Posted: 3/1/2006 7:06 PM hey monty, is there a way to access some help for the functions in using the console? i have read that i think that for age of mythology it was possible but never tried it many thanks..... papadan |

Maybe there is a way, but I also have not found it yet to separately enter it. The main - and best - help you will get when you correctly enable the XS debugger. Unfortunately, but also luckily when you just have a mistake in your script ;) kjn - Posted: 5/10/2006 4:38 PM With all the questions guys are asking about this subject lately...It may be a good thing to have this thread on page one?!. |

Yes, this would be very useful for newcomers. Though I cannot answer any reply here in a shot time, I am sure that other experienced map designers can also help out here. This would be nice :) Thanks again for the replies. Regards, M0nTy_PyTh0n.
