I remember in the Demo that the upgrades weren't StageCoach and Iron horse, but Ricksaw and such.

What are they now? And what are the initial guardians (from mother nature)?

Ok, from some screen shots of the loading screen I've seen, it appears that it picks randomly from 3 differant silkroad maps, which are from differant parts of the silk road. Jsut Confirming that. If you want to see it, got to the TAD Supremacy Forum, then the "Got TAD? Come here" thread

    Strats for Silk Road?

Um, well I would say that the TP are captured from Guardians, just to make that clear, so in order to capture them, you would have to expend man power. Then, you obtain control of them by simply moving near them. Unfortuantely, someone else can come and take them the same way, by moving close to them when your troops are away.

     Strat:

Let someone else take the TP, wait until they are gone and take it.

Nothing big. That is about as strategic as it gets on that map.

    Unless they guard it.

Then you would have to attack it. And then he would either let you take it, or really defend it. Do you think that there is a possibility that you could put a stealth unit next to it? That way you couldn't lose control of the TP, and the enemy would have to bring spies or something to get it. Although at that time, you'd already be alerted of their presence and would go defend. Albeit, they would know that there is stealth units there.

Do the Asians get an equivalent of a spy?

Hmm, Silk Road sounds like a fun map.

That sorta sucks. Euros can get their spies from church, and get an infinite amount of them.

Asians (and Natives), don't have a "reliable" acess to anti-merc units. Cuz spies can be bought once from the consulate, and ninjas are only avaible to isolated Japanese (and they cost export, so its tricky to get them right).

Looks like Euros remain a power in this game. Mercs...

Personally I think that the map is a barren desolate map with not enough resources.

That's why you're supposed to capture the trade posts. Getting them provides you with extra recources, especially if you get a bunch (there are a lot). This makes them more important strategically.

This is a fun map, especially for team games, as long as you have buildings/units near the TP you own it, after the mobs are killed.
