The story is poorly, poorly thought through. Campaign made no sense, completely took you down the wrong path with "the Truth" and killed the documentary of Zheng He who discovered the world in 1421 with some betrayal of the feminine admiral.

My biggest disappointment with this expansion is the Chinese dynasty featured in the game. I am still confused about why did the studio picked the idea of YOU CHINESE PEOPLE TEACH US WHITE GUYS HOW TO SAY THE WORDS, WE SAY IT FOR YOU IN THE GAME. The broken up accents made a mockery to 22% of the world's population. Its like having a documentary on the American Revolution with French actors trying to speak American English. It's that noticeable... Mandarin is such a delicate languguage because every word have to be pronounced perfectly or you will get a different meaning or several different meanings. Here is an example from the game. While you are playing the campaigns for China, you click on Huang Jian and you make him do something, he should have said something that means "following your orders" but instead the accent sounded like "save me!" in Chinese.

 
That's sad considering AOE2 was such a huge success and AOE3... well. Its true what they say about sequels.

I can go in detail why it is difficult to learn Chinese after speaking English for all your life but its going to be boring so im not gonna write it. Just know that its a psychology term called "negative transfer". It is easy to learn Japanese because of "positive transfer".

i liked the chinese history... but aoe3 was made to be a popular online game

You also make it pretty obvious that your knowledge of other languages isnt that great. It is the same for all languages. The dutch is also quite sucky, and that allready was improved during development when a dutch journalist told them it sucked. But it still sucks, deal with it.

You have to admit though, the campaign was lacking lots of stuff...

Lol I never play the campaigns I just do cheats and beat it asap then go online.  WHo cares about the campaign online ftw :).

and what about those pimp movies in vanilla durring the campaigns? there was none in TAD and not really any in TWC but TWC was still better

I say you're right. The Indian campaign needed an all out fighting scene, and the intro should have had the British and Indians sending different units (cav, infantry, and artillery) into battle, not just a few cannons blazing and an elephant stomping. However, I bought TAD for the gameplay, and if the intro must be crap, as well as the campaigns, I am happy with that (as long as game play is at its best).

I don't mind honest criticism / person opinions about the game/campaigns, but please do not attack, insult, or insult other users of things simply because you disagree.

All the languages in this game are incorrect. I think it's a cost cutting measure myself, as it'd cost too much to have somebody translate all the game's dialogue into different languages, especially since some languages are hard like you said.

 
If you play as the British, the English that your people speak is mostly gibberish too, in case you didn't notice.
