I just joined and I just wanna know what level do other players play? To see if I really suck at this game or I am somewhat good.

well, to beat expert is hard if u rush, only way i won was going off onto the other honshu islands and it didn't find me.
it all depends, in treaty, anyone can beat expert easily.
just go online and try a game, against say a lance corp.

 IsaacT:Yeah, I'm a lance corporal in AoE vanilla and a conscript (due to not playing much) in TWC. I can beat a hard fairly easily.
Same and i'm a Master serg in both never tried vs a expert tbh

Start at Easy/Moderate, sandbox is exactly what it says. Unless you leave the enemy alone for an hour they won't be able to stop even a half-hearted attack. They are very very stupid, and have reduced gather rates.
If you're familiar with the AoE3 campaign(or how to reach colonial in at least 6 minutes) and how to train stuff, etc start playing Moderate. The enemy will actually attack(not often, or with very tough units if you make the effort to attack them first, or a counterattack with a large force), send raids across water(given enough time), etc but are easily managed with just a basic knowledge of the game and the concept of focus fire.

I played both moderate and hard. Never beat an export....They are so ****....
