Iroquois unfair?
The only team that I can't use to beat the hardest UI is Iroquois, they are so fragile weak and the only unit that I can use to beat cannons is hand cavalry which use 75 woods per unit!!!! , not only that, the tomahawk also use woods. They will die for sure agaisnt spearmen and cannons. Further more all almost the constructions use a lot of areas, big houses!!! . While the other teams get their cannons at age III but Iroquis has nothing unless age IV.
So anybody , tell me how to beat a lots of spearmen and lots of cannons with Iroquois pls?

Re: Iroquois unfair?
First of all, it's AI, not UI. Those are two completely different things Secondly, I've beaten Expert AI tons of times using the Iroquois. It's not that hard. Keep in mind that some civs don't have any artillery at all yet they're extremely good (see: Sioux), so you can't complain about not having them until Age IV. You don't even need artillery. Just do a FF while having some Tomahawks to defend your base against early rushes (Tomahawks are not necessary, but recommended when playing against an Expert AI). Once you hit Fortress Age, mass Forest Prowlers and back them up with a unit of your choice. Tomahawks are usually the best back up units but you should change those depending on what you really need. The Iroquois have the best Skirmishers in the game, what do you want more than this? Either way, if you can't beat the Expert AI, fear not, as he gets an unfair advantage. Try real players. They're usually harder, but that's only because they have more experience with the game than you, not because they get free resources and perfect reflexes/speed. It's a fair match. That being said, some civs are UP and some others are OP, but nothing really unbearable. A player's skill is what really matters. Levels and civs are just extras that a good player will take advantage of. Good luck.
Never argue with an idiot. They just drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

For Sioux I think when age III They have a fearsome units, I can't remember the name but they are calvary with gun that good against calvaryand cannons but Iroquois doesn't. More important, with the map that has few trees, Iroquois doesn't seem to use calvary as much as I want (75 wood per unit), Iroquois skimishers is the best? but anyway they are baby againts cannons same as tomahawks.
Anyway what is FF? Thanks

Iroquois have the Musket Rider at age 3 which beats cavalry and artillery. It's not as good as the Sioux Rifle Rider, but still does the job done. Actually, when it comes to beating cavalry, the Musket rider is better. The Kanya Horseman is also one of the most effective units against artilleries. If you find yourself lacking in a resource, simply get more villagers gathering this specific resource. Yes, FP (Forest Prowlers) are the best Skirmishers. Mainly because they have the stealth ability. FF is Fast Fortress. This a strategy where you advance to Fortress age as fast as possible and concentrate on economy until then. Sometimes you need a few units to defend yourself against rushes and raids. Once you hit the Fortress age, you start massing advanced units to beat your enemy. To do this strategy, you need the 700 gold card. If you don't have it, 600 gold is fine too. Iroquois in particular don't have the 700 gold card. Either way, if you do this strategy properly, you shouldn't encounter a lot of artilleries. Artilleries are usually only available at Fortress age or up and are expensive so try your best to hurt your enemy's economy and force him to train cheap units instead of saving up for stronger units and for advancing.

you don't have to use the stealth for them to pwn, 20%hits from warchief + attack dance + cards + expensive range upgrade... makes forest prowler dominate both early and late game. PS==== in case u didn't already figure it out FF mean Fast Fortress, so you age up really quick to get to use the better units.

Using the native factions is all about your playstyle.
Personally, I absolutely suck with all three of them. I just can't play without siege weapons. But, if you're a fan of more geurilla tactics, than the Iroquois are just your cup o' tea.
It's all about how you play them. You can't use the same style with the French as the Aztecs.
