Humility:I followed the directions found on page 10 for setting your own HC but it seems to be obsolete my folder does not appear nor does the city. Can someone plz help me?
Sorry to see you're having difficulties..
There is nothing obsolete about it..I don't know why you're having this problem?.You're the first..If you followed the directions as you stated, the file should be there..All I can suggest is go back over what is posted and try it again..It does work!
Regards.

Humility,
I re-posted this here..Maybe it will help.
Changing the home city to your homecity in editor. 1-Go to my documents/mygames/Age3/save game.Find your homecity file. 2-Copy your file by rightclicking your mouse. 3-Make a new folder Name it my homecities or what ever you want so you know the folder. move your new home city file in the new folder. Go into your new folder and you should see your new home city file.Right click on it and rename it,but put homecity infront. For instance Homecity St.Louis. Make sure you drop the sp_part! 4-Move your new folder to c/program files/Microsoft games/age3/campaigns. 5-Open the editor and go to player data and click on set home city for your player. You should see your folder along with two others. 6- Click on your folder and then click on your file so they're in the box below. You want to see your home city! click on the set or enter button I can't remember right now and the box should disappear and you're done. Good luck!

Re: < < Scenario Design - Question Thread > >
Humility,
Make a new folder.
Name it my homecities, or something you prefer so you know it.
Place your homecity Dublin in side the new folder..
Place the folder with your homecity in it, in the Campaign folder in the directory file..Not my document\my games\age3 folder..
Re-read the original post thats been bumped..

Re: < < Scenario Design - Question Thread > >

Well, to build a canoe dock you should create a new building in the protox, which trains canoe and war canoe (or even tlaloc canoe if you want), than in the animfile, set the native dock as grannyanim, which should be "buildings\native_civs\dock_age1". After that, allow the canoes to each player by modifying every age0tech in the techtree. There is just a problem: the dock is a building which must be built on the shore, and personally I don't know what function does set thic feature. I managed to modify the tactic files, there is a silly trick to do it: they are saved like this:example.tactics.xmb. So, you have to rename them as example.tactics.xml.xmb, than convert the file with aoe3ED and you'llhave an easy editable xml file. After having modified and reconverted it, rename it by example2.tactics.xml.xmb to example2.tactics.xmb. Now, to finish my own expansion pack I'll create an unique and innovative building, and it will be very difficult, so in the meantime, I hope that you'll succed in creating your native dock, regards
