AoE IV.. Should have three campaigns: American Civil War, World War I, World War II. Drop these civs: the Dutch (worthless, they got stampeded in both World Wars, should be an unplayable AI civ in the campaigns, but still playable in skirmishes and online), Ottoman Empire (irrelevant after World War I, make it an unplayable AI civ during that campaign, still playable in skirmishes and online play as long as it's pre WWII), Spain (wasn't involved in any of those conflicts), Portugal (same). Drop all the native civs from TWC too. New civs: the United States, Austria-Hungary (unplayable in campaigns, can only have skirmishes  and multplayer matches in pre WWII settings), Italy (possibly added in a new expansion about Africa?) and the Soviet Union (Russia is replaced by them after WWI campaign). Keep China and Japan in the game, same with India (although with some restrictions on it from being a totally independant civ- India was a part of the British Empire). So in AoE IV there would be eight fully playable civs (listed alphabetically): Britian, China, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Russia/USSR and The United States of America, one "limited civ": India and three semi playable civs: Austria Hungary, Ottoman Empire and the Dutch.

     What about the Serbs (Serbia)

IM THE TOTAL WAR GAMES YOUR POPULATION IS LIMITED TO WHAT YOUR COMPUTER CAN SUPPORT! THATS 24,000 MEN FOR ME, AND YOU CAN HAVE EVEN MORE ON THE CAMPAIGN MAP, I HAD 900,000 ONCE! THAT WOULD BE GREAT FOR AN AOE GAME

Pixelpts aren't $$$$. Play a real civ or start wearing your fireman suit, nubs.

It's awesome. C&C is one of my favorite RTS franchises.

     Allcaps much?

Anyway, let's see...Germany, France, Italy, U.K., U.S., Russia/U.S.S.R., China, Japan, Turkey (TAFKA Ottomans), and for those of you who want "minor" civs, Serbia and the Philippines.

10 civs, all of them important (yes, the Filipinos actually fought back pretty well against the Japanese in WWII), even if nominally so, to make it.

The Netherlands was neutral in WWI so that isnt correct, in WWII the Netherlands was more important in the Winter of 1944 when a big part of Europe was already free the north of the netherlands was still under german rule, both sides fought a half year betwwen the dutch rivers.... so that makes the netherlands important and one of the reasons that germany attacked the netherlands was that they need rotterdam to attack england.

Yeah, but those are casualties, not actual measure of involvement.

Not really , allright that they were neutral in ww1 but thats just one more reason to drop them , in 1944 there might ve been some fighting going on over there , but still there was no real dutch army as we surrendered within 3 days , after wich giving minimal resistance .

Well imo casualties does give an indication on how much resistance a country offered and how much they were involved

Yeah altough we fought at 2 continents, the dutch army had a role in defeating the germans in norway just like the polish fought here in the netherlands
