Do you really think that the French cuirassier are balanced? OMG! And the portos best unit get nerfed, rofl.Now I'll play Iroquois, they are very nice with their unit buffs. And Japan's eco was strong, now it get buffed and t's stronger and I think it will become the best eco in the game. Good Job ES.... and thanks to the noobs who tested the patch.

they are only too good in latelategame when u got an OP eco. U dont get there in most cases, and u can prevent the french from getting there. Its just one of the last remaining french strengths

Play a real game and not treaty and you'll almost never see an 80 courer nonstop cuirassier spam.

The problem is that the cuirassiers are an "I-win-button" in late game. The other civs cant stop them and because they have instantspawn you can spam them until your enemy gives up and swears you. Stop the instantspawn and they can be balanced.

If I defend until I have a good eco, the Frenchman has also a good eco and spam the cuirassiers. I don't often play agressive because i dont like a game which takes only 15 min.

only in age5 curassiers can be so good, as u mentioned it. Just dont boom til age5 then, before they are easily beatable with a good anticav army.

hardly counts. it's their early game that needs a boost not their late game. and the cassa "boost" isn't even a real boost, just a change. they shouldve just boosted their HP to 100, not touching their armor, attack, and ROF. now they're just closer to being a skirmisher.

You didnt understand. NONE CIV has a I-win-button in age 5 or age 2... Every civ must be superably in every age. Just nerf the instantspawn. EDIT: Why do you talk about a cassa boost? Their range attack get nerfed very hard.

Pretty good patch. I expect much less laming and more real fun games
with lots of age2 fighting. Its pretty much appreciated that you try to
cut down the laming aspect a lot :) At
the guy with French Curassier being op. Dont be so nitpicking , there
is tons of good changes and Curassiers wont be a huge problem in
standard games. For example I dont like that french Coureur De Bois
didnt change because if you ever have been CDB rushed and lost to that
you are asking yourself is it maybe time to stop playing - lol. However
you need to see the big picture and not knock on minority things which
still might need a change. The Big Picture is that games will be more
fair more fun and more aggressiv in general which looks like a huge
accomplishment to me.

First of all i must say that it's a good patch which will defenitely help to decrease the OPness of some tactics, for example the ERK-Raids or the Russian Fort Spam. Nice job, guys!
But I have some questions about my favourite civ, the ottoman. -Does the XP trickle rate from the mosque substitute the XP I get with a Tradepost? If yes, this would be a good advantage because I am no more dependent on my tradepost which is often far away from my base and easy to kill. -Furthermore, I hoped for some military support for the ottoman. Janissary are more easy to beat (Xbow-damage against HI increased from 18 to 20), there is still only one upgrade for Hussars (in the 3rd age!) and without the eco-advantage of the silk road it's harder to get enough ressources for many abus guns. So how to beat a Yumi or an Xbow-Spam?
