Subject: Revolution and 40 min treaty
I never revolt in 40 min treaties because it's almost impossible to win afterwards, but a guy was on my team against quite a good player the other day, it was his first game and he revolted. He managed to wipe out the whole enemy base with a bunch of colonial militia and some mortars and only a little help from me, and looked as if he could have done it without me. Bearing in mind this city had three stone walls and then was sectioned off into areas I would have thought that was impossible. How could he do it and how can I pull of the same thing?

there is no reason to revolt, colonial militia are not good enough in an imperial game.i can't imagine how he could do well with no economy and no imperial units, i somhow don't think it could work like that.

what is you rank in treaty?

I would have thought your opponent was an awful player, if you hadn't said he was quite good. Even with extreme micro, it is not likely colonial militia would prevail over imperial forces, as RasRas said. The most logical explanation is that your opponent made the wrong units to counter them or didn't react fast enough, but that would come under the definition "awful" so I don't really know. Were you watching your allies attack? Did he use micro to turn the tide? That is the only way he could have won.

He was quite good. I'm a sergeant myself and he's one too I think, but this other guy was a complete noob and he revolted and won without my help. I was busy sitting behind my three stone walls building up an army myself to help much. He just used his mortars to knock the walls down then just charged his colonial militia and 30 guard skirmishers straight in and wiped out about 50 imperial redcoats, though he did take some casualties to eight rockets that were there, then he had to knock down another wall and do the same thing and so on about 10 times and managed to take out the whole place, because the opponent was retraining any men he lost. I only sent a few imp hussars to help a tiny bit, killing a falconet and some musketeers but that's it.

    Are you serious?

Gatling Guns are comparable to pre 1.04 patch Organ Guns.
