    Subject: How to play Germans in 1v1
    I been playing exclusively Russians for the past 6 months and I came back to playing the Germans. I played a 1v1 against a Dutch and got slaughtered... Can someone give me some strats / tips?

    Personally, I'm not very good with the Germans. They take a VERY long time to get comfortable with, at least in my experience. The Dutch are amazingly good, so don't feel bad about being killed by them. Dutch halberdier, skirmisher, and falconet/Ruyter combos are almost unbeatable.

     My suggestion is to play against the computer, or a friend with unrated games as the Germans, until you get a better strategy down for yourself.

    I usually stray away from Germans if the other player has the potential to make skirmishers. If i were you i wouldnt play Germans against them because skirmisher-cannon combo is one of the best combos vs dopplesodners IMO.  In addition a Dutch player for example also has the possibility to make halbrediers and Ruyters making for a powerful anti-cav combo (which counters the low hitpoints of Czapka's).  Thats all i got...i love playing with the Germans but sometimes it gets hard to win when you get skirms/cannons/halbs/ruyters spammed at you.

    Check gamereplays.org for some nice german strats and replays. Luigi has a lot of his german recs there.

    Some strats you should look into are Germany's dual rax spam and semi-ff. Both are very poweful.
