Re: Most powerful rush civ?
France, Germany and Ports all have the double rax strat o don't forget them!
France probably the best at this, on a normal map you can easily get 50 xbow/pike by 8:00 ish while mainting good economy
Russia are very good too ...

Re: Most powerful rush civ?
IMO French are an awesome rush civ, mainly because of their versatility. The four main french rushes are:
x-bow rush, just pump out xbows and cdbs non stop, keep attacking whilst outbooming your opponent. At about 15 mins (having rushed and not stopped fighting) you should be able to be spamming xbows from 2 barracks with fencing school, aging with a shipment waiting for 2 falconets and have resources to spare.
musket rush- fairly similar, but wood becomes a problem because you have got to build houses fast to keep up with 2 barracks on muskets. Again, you can outboom your opponent and age quicker because there is far more coin available thanks to musket production
cavalry rush- best used in team games, the only civs that can compete in terms of cavalry numbers are the british and the sioux. Not brilliant in frontal attacks because in team games you are very likely to encounter heavy inf. Better as a raiding force because they can eliminate large numbers of villiagers fast, and also effective at attacking the back of an enemy army (which tends to be ranged inf or artillery if they have half decent micro)
Guard Rush- this one is quite rare, ship the Edict of Nantes and start shiping grenadier guards from the church, again, you wouldnt want to use this one on its own.
Anyway, there is a not too breif discussion of french strats. But other civs (e.g. Ottos) are far less versatile and predicable, making them weak.

Re: Most powerful rush civ?
I was looking at the Guard Rush idea, but whats the point? If u want to rush with grenadiers, there are a lot of better civs to do this with, especially british thanks to Improved Grenades and ottos, coz they already build Artillery Foundries for their equivalent of skirms.
All women complain I play too many games so they all leave me. So She wanted to spend time with me but I really wanted to play AOE. So I was playing and she distracted me doing um, nice things. Which angered me, but humbled me. Guess who?
