Getting a game going is pretty easy. Click on Multiplayer-->Play on ESO. Eventually you'll be asked for login information. Create an ESO account. Once you're on ESO, look for a Deathmatch room, hopefully named "newbies" or "rookies" since it will be your first game, and join it. Pick a civilization, click Ready, and wait for the host to launch.
Just a heads up, Ottomans are probably the easiest civ to become good with in Deathmatch, so if you're starting out I would suggest you use them.
