Hi everybody, this is is my first message as a new member. I want to talk about Native American languages which are used in The War Chiefs. It's nice to hear the Lakota tongue in the game. But i realized something strange while playing. If i'm not wrong, The Cree and The Cheyenne speak the same language. Please post your comments. Greetings.
If I'm not mistaken, wasn't it the Cree or Cheyenne that were thrown in to replace the Lakota/Sioux, who were becoming their very own civilization in TWC expansion?
If that's the case, I wouldn't be surprised if they just quickly tried to find a replacement tribe that could share the old tribe technologies of the Lakota, so that they wouldn't have to make many changes. They probably just put in the replacement tribes real quick (Huronen, Cheyenne or Cree, and Zapoteken) and didn't put much effort into their languages.
sorry pals, i made a mistake. you're right Daemien, it's Cree tongue. I believe that it would be nice if the developers cooperated with both Cherokee and Cheyenne speakers. because i still suppose that both tribes speak the same tongue in the game. Greetings from Turkey.
slap on teh bottom:you are gonna get killed sumday. maybe not killed, but ull be dead
Fellow:One thing I always wonder is if the Inca and the Aztec speak their authentic language in the game....
I don't know what the Incan words mean exactly, but I can tell you for a fact the Aztecs speak Nahuatl...I've heard that language before and some of the words sound extremely familiar.
I cant answer that fellow because I dont know whats gibberish or w/e.
Also, I think that aztecs do speak their language, because they speak nahuatl, and people still speak nahuatl in mexico, actually, there are some schools In Mexico that teach nahuatl instead of english.
Not really sure about Incas, but I think that still some people know how to speak the quechua language.
i hope that what was used in the game is Nahuatl. otherwise, it will be something negative for the developers. i'm saying this as a person who's sensitive about Native American tongues. greetings.
